Crack Killed Applejack

He was just too blind to see that death lived in the rock house
not allowing himself to live as a man
he died as a mouse
I have made a vow to let go and let GOD
reaching out to a higher power than myself to overcome this battle with a beast
opened arms will welcome back into the fellowship
to say the least
Just for this moment I have not used
I choose not to live or die as AppleJack
I have the strength to jump back
sick and tired of being sick and tired of this repititious cycle
temporarily insanity
taking the cowards way out
my heart mind soul opens and shout
FREE YOURSELF
without a doubt
I have a story to tell
my experince strength and hope
helping someone else to go a different path
WARNING: CRACK KILLS
your valuable brains cells
it kills your desire to think positive
daunting your spirit
you will not be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel
you might as well close your eyes as you frantically search through the night with
arms outstretched in front of you
moving left to right
up and down
wearing a frown
ready to cry
hoping you don't die
but death you sometimes want over life
because like AppleJack
you were just to blind to see that death lived in the rock house

A Courageous Woman

My mother is like no other
looking any further would be a mistake
she is a wonderful woman
who loves, cooks, cleans, even bake
she laughs, cries and smiles
praying diligently to her HEAVENLY FATHER
magnifying HIM without a bother
dedication is her motivation
to be devoted
she does this without a hesitation
eyes shining brightly
her laugh is contagious
hugging so softly and warmly
loving all fiercely
sparing her feelings of the particulars of the world
she knows there's death and destruction
she gave her life to GOD
giving her a sense of direction
she goes to the jails
and serve the homeless food
praising GOD
proudly as she stood
at the alter the day she surrendered
bearing her soul
GOD said "come as you are"
HE made her whole

Make a Change Before You End Up Asking For Change

Feeling inspired to clean up your life
beginning with changing how you think
do you want to continue to stand in that abandon house that reeks of feces
causing an overwhelming stink?
smoking crack cocaine
going insane
thinking you are clever
just because you use abuse misuse yourself and others
selling drugs
killing your sisters
even your brothers
hearing it sizzle
enhaling the smoke
it goes to your head
taking you places
you do not need to go
burning valuable brains cells
sitting in different jails
there goes the rent money
days without a shower
they could care less about you
all they want is your money body mind self-respect dignity aspiratrions hopes
dreams
as your soul screams
let's make a change before you end up asking for change
helping you is not out of GODS range
you deserve better
clean your act up
get your children back
get a job
save your money
a home in your own name
change how you think
because the thought is the cause of it all
it was because of a thought you were born
shake that feeling of dread
do not be forlorn
make new friends
discover new playgrounds
broaden your horizons
keeping your best interest at heart
doing your part
give it your all
because half measures avail us nothing

The Mate

I searched high and low
for that special someone
to share my life with
will I ever meet the mate that is meant for me?
I have asked this question I hope I don't have to wait eternally
for the answer I'm longing to know
searching high and searching low
life to me has a different meaning when it is shared by two
you with me
me with you
I will be yours to have and to hold
conveying this to you
hope I'm not being too blod
the mate I so patiently await
to be adored by her
come on time
don't be late
to laugh, cry, and even smile
with that mate
not for a short time
but for a while

The Storm Has Come

Katrina is a sweet soft spoken name
with hurricane in front of it
it is no game
it wrecked havoc on a state and city
causing other's to pity
those that were caught up in the flood
and killed right where they stood
some paralyzed by fear
other's helping those that were near
a son who saved a whole family
a lost child looking for their mother
a mother who was reunited with her brother
two cities torn apart
touching millions across the nation tugging at the strings of their heart
I send my prayers to those who fell victim to that horrendous hurricane
believe me I know that you experienced pain
may GOD be with you through your time of need
HE is your provider and keeper indeed
