The-Ghost-Inside-My-Head

The Ghost Inside My Head

I see you when I close my eyes
I hear you when I sleep I night
I miss you when the morning comes

I try so hard to bury you
Yet you never seem to stay dead
I try, I try to run from you
The ghost inside my head

You left me when I needed you
But it was impossible for you to stay
You shattered the windows and changed the locks
All so you can get away
You took away my peace of mind
So when I lie in bed
I find myself haunted by
The ghost inside my head

With lucidity comes memories
Of days with you long past
And dreaming only brings the things
I know could never last
My mind is as a home left empty
Where hurt accumulates like dust
And the foundation of my heart still stands
Only because it must
I wish I could say goodbye to you
Keep you just a memory instead
But youre forever living on as
The ghost inside my head

Where-Stray-Sheep-Lie

Where stray sheep lie

Hazy pastures in the misty morning grey,
With dreams like dew drops on each blade.
We graze upon the meadow on the dawning day, in plains we once forbade.
We shepard no one unto their slumber,
For we ourselves are lost.
And when us strays must go under, our souls must weigh the cost.
Good little lambs are counted against the stars, but not the ones who've gone astray.
We go where the stray sheep heal their scars, the hazy pasture in the misty morning grey.

Chrysalis

Chrysalis

I am but the chrysalis
A metamorphosis persists inside this
Catatonic kaleidoscope. Catastrophic emotions condensed in errant cope, energy collides in scopes, far beyond what dreams may hope, but wild wings may hope to soar evermore. Transformation takes time to tend to trends entrenched into one's own solemn soul, once severed, once whole

The-Sound-Of-Static

That soft whir that hums away
Holds my heart with so much sway
It slips me to a bygone day
Now digital decay

Those nights when it could be heard
I never noticed when it whirred
But now i’d find my heart stirred
To remember how the white noise purred

At night, while my mind goes on
I realize that the noise is gone
When did it fade with the dawn
Will I follow it into the beyond?
Where is the sound of static?
