Today Is Your Day

Happy is the day a baby is born.
Happy are the parents of a new born.
Happy are the siblings of the new born.
Happy are the relatives to the family.
Happy are friends and well wishers.
Happy is everyone who appreciates God's Gifts.

It is wonderful to experience parenthood.
It is wonderful to experience sibling rivalry.
It is wonderful to have an inclusion to the family.
It is wonderful to have someone to love.
It is wonderful to have someone to love you.
It is wonderful to celebrate procreation.

Today you remember your coming to the world.
Today your parents remember your first word.
Today your siblings rejoice with you.
Today your relatives celebrate with you.
Today friends and well wishers appreciate you.
Today everyone felicitate with you.

Here comes a day for you to be really happy.
Be lost in the celebration of Goodness.

Being Kindhearted

Kindheartedness is being quite generous
A considerate attitude that is from the inside
No price tag is placed on being accommodating
Being benevolent and affectionate is cordial
Willing to give everything for nothing in return.

A trait that is not always an inherited tendency
One to be heartily imbibed and truly developed
A behaviour that stands one out in the crowd
Exhibiting true amiable and amicable qualities
Portraying brotherly,sisterly,fatherly & motherly love.

When you are humane and quite propitious
They say you are beneficient and philanthropic
When you are soft-hearted or tender-hearted
They talk of you as being thoughtful & understanding
You are a bounteous bonhomie & benign personality.

Exuding a calid courteous and altrustic aura
Places you on a pedestal different from others
Extraneous factors may want to impede on you
The propensity of your kindheartedness surpasses
Showcasing your nature as an outstanding being.

My Charming Princess

You are truly Charming
My Princess and Priceless Jewel.
I drank your beauty with my eyes
and my heart became drunk with love.
I desire you when I admire you.

You are an Epitome of Beauty
alas, an Epitome of womanhood.
You are the Angel of my life.
Thank you for being mine.
I love you Always.

My Birthday Suit

Birthday comes once in a year
It comes every year of your life
A reminder of the day you came to be
A day you truly know nothing about
But a day you are truly celebrated.

My birthday comes on the seventeenth
I was seventeen on the seventeenth
The day was unique because of the numbers
Got a unique birthday gift from my Dad
My birthday gift a special birthday suit.

On my special suit on my special day
I looked pleasant and radiant
My friends all complimenting my suit
As the birthday boy I reveled in encomiums
I exude the aura of a royal prince.

My friends in their exuberance popped drinks
I was bathed in drinks of different tastes
My birthday suit did come to ruins
My birthday suit just for my birthday
Truly a special gift for a special birthday.

I Am a Blessed Child.

Look at me and tell me what you see
You may see me and only just me
Looking closer, you will see the blessings of God
I am Wonderfully and Fearfully made by God.

God has blessed me with Unique talents
He has blessed me with wonderful parents
He has also blessed me with understanding friends
God has truly blessed me and I remain blessed.

You may call me Blessed or you call me Angel
You may call me Prince/ss or any other Pet name
But one thing I know and this I know for sure
I am a blessed child, yes, I am a blessed child.

You Caught My Fancy

It was on a Sunday night,yes I am sure,for it's all
coming back now and vividly too as if it was yesterday.
The night was clear with the brightness of the moon
like a glowing dot on the blue night sky.I was walking
home after having a good time with my friends.I was in
a happy mood as I strolled pass on the street.
As I looked, something caught my attention.
Involuntarily I double checked to know what pricked
my consciousness so.Behold, behind the flickering
light of a home-made lantern,sat this beauty.I meant
to continue my walk, but my legs as if in consonance
with the activities of my brain and the control of
my mind,took me to her.
I greeted her,and with the light dancing in her
sparkling eyes she responded. When she spoke,it was with
a charming smile and an alluring gap-toothed dentition,
coupled with a sonorously infused velvety voice.I was
captivated.I intended to spend a few minutes but ended
up spending over an hour with her.She has an adorable
physique with such a poise.I have been addicted to her
ever since.
But she has not afforded me the opportunity to express
what I feel inside me for her,nor has the situation
provided itself. There seem to be many of us seeking her
attention.I don't know if this personality I fell for is
her true person or a persona. One thing I know is that
she caught my fancy.Who am I talking about if not you.
Yes,you Baby. You are the Beauty that Caught my Fancy.

Tribute To Zubby

.......ADIEU DEAR COUSIN ZUBBY.......
It Was With A Heavy Heart And Dazed Mind
That I Took The News Of The Road Mishap
That Took You To The Journey Of No Return.
I Tried To Cry For You That Day
But The Tears Refused To Come,
The Ducts Too Shocked To Respond.

You Left Us Not Of Your Own Desire To.
I Know You Fought Hard To Hold Unto Life,
Knowing You Still Have A Lot To Give.
You Left Us In Your Youthful Prime.
Your Dream, Unfulfilled Aspirations.

Why Do You Have To Leave Us This Soon?
Should We Ask GOD Why HE Took You Away?
Should We Blame Somebody For Your Demise?
I Guess Many Questions Yet No Answers.

The Day Things Only You Could Do Won't Be Done.
The Day We Won't Hear That Laughter Of Yours.
The Day We Would Seek You But Not Find You.

The Tears For You Will Surely Flow Someday.
The Tears For You Will Surely Flow That Day.

Good Night Dear Cousin Maxwell Azubuike Obiadinma.

The Legend Lives

He was an enigma, a true one.
His followers see him as religious.
Few people say he was a philosopher.
Some say he was a prophet.
Many prefer to call him a soothsayer.
Yet, others call him a political analyst.

He was all these and many more.
He was not only a musician,
but one with a difference.
Stating his opinions in music form.
Proffering solutions with his songs.
Reaching out to everyone with his lyrics.

He was and still is a role model.
One of only a kind.
If only we had more of him.
If only they had listened to him.
Things would have been different.
But they didn't and things remained.

Fela for many is still what he was.
Eba mi eda is gone but he still lives,
very much in the lives of his admirers.

Hearing Your Voice.

When I look forlorn;when things seem not
to go the way they should. When the burden
of the thought of unfavourable events seems
to weigh me down. When I am overwhelmed by
the mist of the confusion, and everything
is in a maze.If I just call you,my worries
fade away.Hearing your voice and the
encouraging words that come with it,makes
me feel I can achieve the unachievable.
Your voice comes like the Sun shinning away
the fog of tribulations. It's like a cold
water running down the throat of a thirsty
person. As welcoming as One finding an Oasis
in the desert.Your voice soothes my anxiety
and apprehentions. It sparks a strenght in
me that makes me strive harder to overcome
hinderances.If for nothing else,for that
One who is a shoulder to cry on;who loves
me unconditionally. And whose voice is a
relief always.You,and just you,my love.

The Celebration of Easter

Easter felicitations to everybody
Calvary greetings to the brethren
Greetings from him who journeyed to the cross
Greetings from him whose blood was shed
Calvary greetings from the throne of grace.

The blood of the lamb who was sacrificed
The blood of him who is spotless of sins
An atonement for the sins of all mankind
For our sake he went to the tree on Calvary
For our salvation he was crucified on the cross.

We celebrate his death and resurrection
By his death our sins were washed away
By his resurrection eternal life is given
He so loved the world that he gave his life
For this he came down from his throne.

He was reproached and humiliated though Innocent
He was forsaken to the cross by his own
Nails piercing his hands and feet to the cross
In his pains he was cajoled and ridiculed
With passion and love he bore a shameful death.

His bodily temple destroyed and he was buried
Death he defeated and rose after three days
He ascended into heaven and sent us a comforter
The risen Christ is alive yes Christ lives forever
At Easter we rejoice and commemorate his Victory.
