M. Moo Poem
Start anew and follow his lead
Nourish the soul with his word and bread
Bask in the sun to ensure it stays in your head
Traverse on his earth and move with ease
Take in the hills and the seas
Ingest pure water and keep ahead
Let the body be gently fed
Believe in yourself as he sure does
Breathe in the fresh air it’s yours to keep
Trust in God to keep you fed
Never wrong will be the path he’s led
Rest your head on days well lived
Be your own shepherd and practice restraint
Don't take blessing for granted,
Be sure to guard the life you're fed

M. Moo Poem
They know your face
Your body
You turned on the camera
You let them in
Unknown editors
When they asked for more
You gave it freely
You didn't know
You were a blank paper
They pry for more
To see more
To get more
To know more
To write more
You were drawn to the attention like paper and ink
You let them pour into you
Their wants, desires
Their stains
Anything and everything
You let them have it
You let them in
Stained paper
You press block
It's the end
You can erase the ink
You fight with the scuffs that remain
You shut them out
It's the end
The ink streaks still visible
But you feel their eyes
Their pens
What they saw
What they added in
You let them in
You let them mark
Disfigured writing
Pen strokes of depravity
Are they still in
Question marks, accusations
This what you wanted
You let them have it
You stamped the letter
Shut the laptop
You close the browser
Return to sender
Yet they're still there and you feel them now
It's not real
The paper wasn't there
It's everywhere
You know it is
You're crumpled and folded
No one cares
No one can know
Push it to the back
You were theirs
What they wanted
How they wanted you to be
What you became
A letter of what
Who's your author
Hidden writers of the past
The cover up with normality
The masks made of edits
Erasures not truly hidden
Is it you
Or only forgery

M. Moo Poem
A still sleepy house
Creaking pipes settling on cold night
Floor boards whisper quiet comforts
Yellow curtains caress worn floors
Ordered pairs of shoes by the oak door
Framed smiles of the past line the wall
Cold petrichor in traveling wind
Ravens awaken ruffling in trees
A quick departure
Leaves breaking from arms of loving branches
Whisked away from home
A crack in silence
Sudden strikes in a hazy sky
Clouds cry heavy drops
Winds cary thousands
East to west
An end of peaceful rest
A still house
A bellowing storm
Creaking oak
The smell of cold wet dread infiltrates the hall
Footsteps panicked down the stairs
Old weathered stairs of support hold unsure
Electricity lingers in thin air
Cold concrete and still air tense with suspense
Hiding from the storm fighting its way in
An intrusion of sacred security
Holiday decorations cower in corners
Summer awaits in boxes for warm sun rays
Labored sounds of effort groan from the frame
Reliant beams anchored bend and snap
Fraying from inside splintering out
Sharp points stab and protrude
Never ending clamours downpour
The howling of terrorizing winds
Sturdy foundations cracking
Safety fading
A bellowing storm
A forsaken fading house
Memories displaced and nowhere to go

M. Moo Poem
You may not remember this exact moment
Nor remember the reason we’re here
The music that was playing
The smiles and laughs of friends near and dear
Or even gently tucking my hair behind my ear
But tonight under the fall night sky
I wont let this moment fall away
Because were here on this ferris wheel
And you are mine, and I am yours

M. Moo Poem
Between whispers and less subtle things
Bellow the sky but above the dirt
Lies two streets
Split as rock hard and certain
libertas et quotidiana
Through the thicket and the trees
Lies a space clarity
Where soft grass kisses the ankles
And seeds stay anchored firm
Lay a tree strong as steel
That smells of wild and sweet solace
With branches that feel like arms
Reaching out to welcome one home
Away from the mockery
Away from heartache all have seen
The one in blue with feathers curled
Wings bent in a cruel display
Beak free of song
Feet grasp at the scraps of bark
Eyelashes stare far from the ground
Shielded by protective leaves
Teardrops fall from its fortress
The silenced songbird sits
On the edge of freedom
Fleeing brings the untold
Staying isn't an option
Contemplation is the awaiting state
She's exhausted
Beyond her thicket isn't hers
She's hunted and haunted by her past
And her sure future
The sun no longer shines
The moon and stars gaze
The lone bluebird sits
Fireflies guide her choice
Flickering in, fading away
Her breath is cold
A shivering frail thing
She's unwavering in spirit now
Eyes glassy and clouded as the once clear sky
Mind clear with certainty
Lighting cracks
Rain is spilled
Rope catches
A bird is free
Only song in the wind

M. Moo Poem
Together we sit
Eye to eye
I feel you looking into mine
I hope you feel how I look in yours
The sun, the moon
Our past, our future
Everything, every second
Is just as warm
Just kind
But between us in this space
Our space
Where we sit eye to eye
I hope you feel and see the same
