Jordan Smith Poem
In another life, we were.
I hope you found
what you are looking for.
Is it too late?
Don’t turn around.
Here and everywhere,
I remember you.
In the summer wind,
what once was.

Jordan Smith Poem
Here I am.
Everywhere we were.
Capillaries fill with her,
rotting roots beneath trees,
feeding truth in buried leaves.

Jordan Smith Poem
Don’t think too hard.
They sting behind your eyes.
Sharp swells
from the recessing snake pit.
Faces warp, wrap, and real.
Knotted limbs
of trying tapestry.
The marriage of scale and skin.
Remember to forget.
My soul was not to keep.
A window woe.
Through eyes not mine, I see.
Take from me
what was yours already.
Prisoner.

Jordan Smith Poem
Here I am.
Everywhere we were.
Empty as is.
Capillaries fill with her,
like rotting roots under trees.
More than I deserve.
I’ve found your silence beneath
feeding truths in buried leaves.
To preserve,
to please.
’Til you return,
I plead.
