Kari Conley Poem
Golden sunsets fade to blue,
Stars appear, and night's anew.
The world is hushed, in quiet sleep,
Dreams unfold, in secrets deep.
Moonlight whispers, a gentle tone,
In the darkness, hearts are known.

Kari Conley Poem
In Wonderland's twilight, where shadows play,
Alice chased a rabbit, down a curious way.
The hole yawned wide, a vortex in the ground,
She tumbled in, and her world spun around.
Down, down she fell, through swirling lights,
A kaleidoscope of colors, a wondrous sight.
The air was thick with whispers, a gentle hum,
As she pierced the veil, and entered the cosmos' drum.
A wormhole's mouth, a swirling tunnel's might,
Sucked her in, and she soared through the celestial night.
Stars streaked past, like diamonds in the void,
As Alice's heart pounded, her spirit employed.
She met a lunar fox, with eyes aglow,
Who guided her through a secret galaxy she didn't know.
Together they danced, among the stars where they belonged
Their footsteps echoing,a step in a cosmic song.
They sailed past nebulae, vast and wide,
Gas and dust condensing, new stars inside.
Comets blazed, like diamonds in the night,
As Alice marveled, at the celestial light.
The fox led her to, a planet of dreams,
Where creatures of wonder, in harmony it seems.
They sang in chorus, a symphony so fine,
As Alice's heart swelled, with a love divine.
A being of light, with wings so bright,
Approached her gently, and shone with delight.
"Welcome, young one," the being said with a smile,
"In this realm of wonder, you'll find your own style."
Alice's journey, through the cosmos so grand,
Taught her of secrets, in this mystic land.
She learned of gravity's dance, and time's own rhyme,
As she navigated, the celestial rhyme.
The wormhole's exit, a swirling gate,
Deposited her, in a world so great.
A realm of wonder, where magic's real,
Alice found herself, with a heart that could feel.
Though she returned, to her world below,
The memories lingered, like a gentle glow.
The strange world she discovered, her soul did yearn.

Kari Conley Poem
In twilight shadows, where moonbeams weep,
I fell to madness, in love's darkest sleep.
Head over heels, in bat crazy flight,
I plunged to depths, where mortal hearts take flight.
With eyes like lanterns, in a midnight storm,
You lit the shadows, where my demons swarmed.
I thought I'd found solace, in love's morbid grasp,
But you were the surgeon, who'd cut my heart's last gasp.
You reached within my ribs, with skeletal hands,
And ripped my heart out, still beating, still in pain's lands.
A ghastly extraction, in love's cruelest jest,
Confirming the verdict, of a heart forever abandoned.
I knew I was broken, a vessel of shattered dreams,
a ruin where love dares not go, a place where nightmares fester surrounded by haunting blood curteling screams.
You tore what I wanted most from me, i scream in silence dispute the pain, for I am too broken, for love's true touch, my chest hollow a place where no love remained
Now in the darkness, my heart's hollowed grave,
Echoes with whispers, of a love that drove me insane.
The moon above mourns, with a cypress tree's sway,
For a love that's lost in the shadows, no hope remains.
In this Gothic night, where shadows dance like fiends,
My heart's a relic, of a love that love itself demeans.
You left me hollow, a husk of what I'd been,
A monument to madness, where love's corpse rots unseen. what's next remains to be unseen.

Kari Conley Poem
The Kitten
In canine halls of wisdom, where dogs do reside,
A furry little menace, has decided to abide,
A kitten, small and sassy, with eyes so bright,
A ball of fluff and trouble, that's always in sight.
She pounces on my tail, with a playful little mew,
I'm like "Hey, what's the deal?" but she just looks at me "mew",
She's a tiny little dictator, with claws so sharp and fine,
I'm just a dog, trying to survive, this feline crime.
She steals my toys, and runs off with glee,
I'm like "Hey, those are mine!" but she just gives me a spree,
She's a little furry thief, with a heart so pure and light,
I'm just a dog, trying to keep up, with this kitten's flight.
We play and we romp, in a ridiculous display,
I'm a dog, and she's a kitten, in a silly little way,
She's a tiny little partner, in crime and in fun,
I'm just a dog, trying to keep up, with this kitten's game, everyone!
She's a little furry friend, who's always by my side,
Together we get into trouble, and make our humans hide,
We're a dynamic duo, of mischief and mayhem too,
A dog and a kitten, a perfect pair, in a funny little crew.
So here's to the kitten, a furry little friend,
A tiny package, of trouble that never ends,
May her purrs be loud, and her whiskers be bright,
A shining star, of mischief, in the dark of night.
With every snuggle, and every playtime too,
Our bond grows stronger, in a friendship true,
A dog and a kitten, a perfect pair,
A tale of friendship, that's beyond compare.

Kari Conley Poem
Poem of the day
My heart and brain, a constant fight,
A war within, day and endless night.
Emotions rage, like a stormy sea,
While logic whispers, "Think clearly."
Love and reason, in discordant sway,
My heart beats strong, while my brain says "wait".
Feelings flood, like a tidal wave,
While facts and reason, my passion try to save.
In this battle, I'm torn apart,
Tugged by emotions, and logic's heavy heart.
What I feel, versus what I know,
A conflict that rages, as my soul says "go".
My heart says "follow", my brain says "pause",
A struggle that wears me, like a worn-out cause.
I'm caught between, what feels right,
And what's logical, in the dark of night.
But perhaps, in this battle's grace,
Lies a balance, a harmonious space.
Where my heart & brain are in sync what a magical place.
where love and logic are in perfect harmony instead it's just a battlefield with emotions laid to waist

Kari Conley Poem
Golden sunsets paint the sky,
Stars appear in evening's hue,
Night's soft whisper starts to sigh,
Golden hues upon the mountains high.
Night's soft whisper starts to sigh,
Moonlight dancing on the sea,
Silent hours of darkness fly,
Night's soft shadows softly lie.
Silent hours of darkness fly,
Shadows cast by moon's pale light,
Dreams and secrets softly tie,
Silent hearts that beat in night.
Dreams and secrets softly tie,
Heartbeats echoing through the night,
In the stillness, spirits fly,
Dreams that in our souls reside.

Kari Conley Poem
In realms of antiquity, where myth and legend reign,
A dragon's lament echoes, a sorrowful refrain.
The tears of the dragon, a deluge of old,
Falling like celestial fire, stories untold.
With scales of obsidian, eyes of burning gold,
The dragon soars through eons, its spirit untold.
It weeps for the ages, for the wars that have been,
For the hearts that have faltered, and the dreams that have been.
In its eyes, a depth of wisdom, born of ancient lore,
A knowledge of the cosmos, and the secrets evermore.
The dragon's roar, a thunderclap of might,
Shakes the foundations, of the mortal light.
The tears it sheds, a symphony of pain,
A requiem for the fallen, a eulogy in vain.
Yet in its sorrow, lies a truth profound,
A reflection of the human heart, in all its wounds.
The dragon's tears, a symbol of the soul,
A reminder of the struggles, that make us whole
[8/26, 9:50 PM] Meta AI: Here's an epic and deep poem inspired by the Bruce Dickinson song "Tears of the Dragon":
The dragon's tears, a symbol of the soul,
A reminder of the struggles, that make us whole.
For in the fire that burns, within its ancient breast,
Lies a passion that forges, the strength to find rest.
Through the mists of time, the dragon's voice resounds,
A call to awakening, that echoes all around.
It speaks of honor, of valor, of the heart's desire,
A flame that burns within, a fire that never tires.
The tears of the dragon, a legacy of old,
A testament to the power, that lies within the bold.
So let the dragon's spirit, forever roam,
And let its tears, be the seeds of a new dawn's home.

Kari Conley Poem
I'd choose the USPS "Liberty Bell" stamp for an ekphrasis poem. Here's the poem:
In copper curves, the Liberty Bell's tale,
A symbol etched in history's hallowed gale,
On this small stamp, its lines tell a story grand,
Of freedom's voice, in a nation's promised land.
The crack that speaks of time and trials past,
Echoes whispers of liberty that will forever last,
In Philadelphia's square, it once did ring,
Proclaiming rights, where brave hearts took their sing.
Now postage-born, in miniature it resides,
A nation's dream on tiny paper tides,
With every stamp, its spirit's sent afar,
Carrying hopes, like letters breathed into air.
In mailboxes deep or journeys cross-country wide,
This Liberty Bell stamp glides, a quiet pride,
A symbol small, of ideals vast and old,
On letters sent, where dreams and stories unfold.

Kari Conley Poem
Sunbreaks pierce the clouds of gray,
Genuine happiness finds its way,
After shadows stretched like endless night,
Light spills in, and my heart takes flight.
For so long, joy was a distant hum,
Lost in sorrow's weight, in darkness numb,
But now a warmth begins to seep,
Through cracks in walls where pain did creep.
Smiles feel foreign, yet welcoming like they belong,
Like muscles stretching, or remembering the words to your favorite song,
In this reprieve from shadows' hold,
I breathe in hope, and let my soul unfold.
For the first time in cycles of pain,
Genuine joy arrives like spring's sweet rain,
bringing life to what once was dead.
Like shedding old brittle skin, the light brings warmth to a cold heart thawing the ice that was once within,
In this quiet space where light does play,
I find myself laughing and for a brief moment forgetting my dismay,
Happiness genuine, like a friend who's come out to play ,
that light that chases that darkness inside of me away.
And although the darkness will most likely return , let's worry about that a different day.
