my nephew

my nephew

Twinkle twinkle little star, I see what a wonder you are
Laughs and cries, screams and hollers
Oh what a scholar, you are
I see the sea in your eyes
That once were mine.
Sail through and wide
For you, and your heart
You are great things, keep that mind.
For you, the world is yours
And you are mine.
For you all is kind.

daylight

In a blazing glory..
The sun rose again.
The Light intertwines through the branches of oak trees… as they were reunited lovers' hands.
The meadow’s dew shimmer… once again, it’s a forest of diamonds.
Crisp air fills the lungs ….
I feel at peace in mine.

Acceptance

I haven’t truly lived until now.
I have been locked away for so long
In a small room in a place that was never my home.
Home is where you feel safe.
My freedom without judgment is where I feel most safe, maybe that’s home.
That’s how I feel now.

Full throttle and no chain linked connected to the wall on my tailgate.
I broke that.
A cloud of smoke from the exhaust and my tires working hard to break the chain made me feel like I was in the sky.
I flew.
Down the coastline, windows rolled down
Serendipity is waving hello with the waves.

spring turned into fall

Heartbreak is rising heat in spring.
Summer welded my heart back together,
Fall leaves reminded me that time has passed so effortlessly.
You’re turning into a faded memory and just another lesson.
My weight, smile, and spirit is back into place.
Soon enough, love returns back to my mind and soul, but never in the form of you again.
I see new rare blooms in the winter.

for that one

Like the strike of a match
Oh night ignite
Stars bright before me
Weaved into braids of venom
Wood cracks into a ballad of pure bliss.

Peddle poppy

You peddling poppy
You soul
Keep
Keep going
On and on
Go and go
Strive above and beyond
Boundaries and imagination.
The sky is far from your limit,
You get it.
Run. Run. Run
Swim. Swim. Swim.
Don’t hit the ground.
You are getting,
Now jump like there is no gravity holding you down.

Oh it's happening again

In this moment,
I see visions of bed sheet caught in slow motion,
I see crinkles in corners of eyes and smiles that turn into giggles,
I see screaming fingers tips up and down my skin,
I see something new to brush my fingers through,
I see him grazing his facial hair on my upper thighs,
I see my new poems and problems coming about,
I see myself saying “I need you” again.
oh no it’s happening again,
Oh Oh it’s happening again,
Oh it’s happened again.

glow leftbehind

There is an incandescent glow in the “not to know”,
Like sprinkler mist on my secret garden.

There is a horribly beauty in leaving it as is.
No knife to be turned in your back again,
just leave it and watch your body grow around …
To leave a tiny scar where an innocent pain once felt detrimental to your world, but it really meant nothing cause the wheel of time.
