Alexis Ransom Poem
The bell rings down the street. In his hand is a chilled glass. Nothing in this room is sweet. Darkness consumes the room. Time runs out until there is none left.
The bell rings down the street. The bright white gown hangs in the closet. Her heart feels incomplete. The clock tics and it feels like it'll never stop.
The bell rings down the street. With every smooth chime, more is at stake. Time to admit defeat. Times up.

Alexis Ransom Poem
Life's loveless hand scraped me
Blood poured on dry cement
The sun heated it up
Boiling on the ground
But a stain remains there
And a scar on my skin
A reminder of then
A warning for later

Alexis Ransom Poem
Love is lost on me
I can not hear your heart beat
Bird chirps in deaf ears

Alexis Ransom Poem
Her hair is cherry coke red
Her stanely cup is pink
Her eyes are not dead
Her mind does not think
Her heart is full of love
Her hand is full of yours
Her clothes fit like a glove
Her body holds the cures
The love was never mine
But I held it so tight
Blood as red as wine
Tears reflect the light
All the work I put in
Was never enough
For your love doesn't look within
And my looks are too rough

Alexis Ransom Poem
I lie awake here.
I lie to all my loved ones.
I lie in ruins.

Alexis Ransom Poem
The color blue
Is soft and bright.
Maybe that's why
It's your favorite color.
You're favorite meal
Is simple and easy.
Maybe that's why
It's always your first choice.
Maybe that's why
You like that girl.
Because she's all those thing
And much more.
Maybe if I could be something else
I'd be your first choice
Maybe if I was someone else
You would favor me.

Alexis Ransom Poem
I had a dream the other night
I looked you in your eyes
The warmth damn near pulled me in
Your gaze held me for awhile
Until I woke up
I had a dream the other night
That everyone knew
I did not need to hide my thought
I just proudly loved you
Until I woke up
I had a dream the other night
Your hand on my thigh
Creeping up to my waist
While we sat in your warm car
Until I woke up
The night used to scare me
Now these dreams walk me through it
For fear is nothing to me
If it means I get to have you

Alexis Ransom Poem
Recently, I have felt awfully starved.
I look around to see everyone filled
to the brim with love.
The aroma of romance makes me want
to lose my mind.
I'm happy my friends are well fed.
They deserve it.
Served on a silver plate,
a plentiful diet.
One that will keep them full forever.
But me on the other hand?
My teeth have gone soft,
and my tongue has gone dry.
My plate is empty,
and so is my stomach.

Alexis Ransom Poem
This headache is killing me.
Beating through my skull, this throbbing pain.
It's so constant and that might be the worst part.
Sitting alone in my bed slowly dying
right in front of the ghosts.
They find it to be so disrespectful,
Me wasting my youth alone in the dark.
They judge me with scornful and familiar faces.
They almost, just almost, look like my friends and family.
So all pressure from their gazes hurt that much more.
But the pain never ends,
because even when they look away.
My head still hurts
