To Be a Shadow on the Snow

The wind has calmed — my worries drift away,
And thoughts align in quiet, gentle rows.
Now you must walk a path so far astray —
Will you return? God only knows.

I’ve let you go, my dear, so long ago,
Yet still my heart is wrapped in silent shade.
The thought of meeting sets my soul aglow,
It lights a flame that time has not decayed.

Your face within my hands — it’s not a dream,
More real than those who walk and breathe today.
Between us threads of golden starlight gleam,
They wove through night and never lost their way.

No mortal love could bear such depth and grace —
You are my angel fallen from above.
I’d wait for you through time and empty space,
If just to see you vanish after love.

Your warmth surrounds the silence in my chest,
With you, no words are needed, none at all.
I fear that speech might break this sacred rest,
Yet still, I let this quiet feeling fall.

Without you, sounds lose meaning, skies their hue.
Will you return? Or must I let you go?
To kiss your hands — divinely shaped and true —
And be your shadow on the snow.

Waiting

One day I'll open up the door,
And you will step inside once more.
"I've waited long, please understand!"
Like thunder in a clear sky's hand.
Prepared for anything, I'd be,
With open arms to welcome thee.
I'd hold you close, my heart elate,
And finally, I'd know true fate.

I'll wait for you, though sense seems lost,
Your pure soul my mind engrossed.
I know, within your gentle snare,
I’m under a spell beyond compare.
Deep into this trance I dive,
As if under anesthesia, I thrive.
Your phantom face with me does roam,
A tenant in my mind’s own home.

When one day, in the morning light,
I see your eyes shining bright,
From joy I’d freeze, so mesmerized,
At zero distance, so surprised.

From you, I feel a thrilling, gentle glow

From you, I feel a thrilling, gentle glow,

A warmth that's magical and full of grace.

No matter how many winters come and go,

Each moment shared with you, I still embrace.

With you, my heart feels calm and light as air,

In my soul, awakened birds now sing.

And though you're far away, I do not care,

For in my heart, your love is everything.

With you, each task becomes a dreamlike state,

Where darkness fades, and bright dreams take their place.

With you, I find a tone that resonates,

Where every step is filled with starry grace.

And every day, I thank the fate I knew,

For a heart that's filled with light and cheer.

For all the gentle words I share with you,

In verses where your love shines ever clear.
