Waiting

Waiting

The hair on my head falls out as I wait
I wait for you in the seat of my living room
having a couple of shots thinking about what you are up to
waiting for my phone to ring so that I know that you are coming home to me
I wonder what your doing at this time 
its past five and you are still no where to be seen
I finally get a call when the clock hits 6:30 
the police department called and said you were part of a crime scene 
you were my baby girl 
and we knew you had an important task in this world
I am devastated now thinking about what I could have done to save you
I just had to realize that you were my baby girl and that I loved you.

Spring

I turned on the t.v. and the news channel said it was spring
so i went outside and heard the birds chirping and the dogs barking
and the kids saying wee
so then i went inside and said to myself 
o my god it must really be spring!
