Widny Dorce Poem
"When you are not fed love on a silver spoon, you learn to lick it off knives."
One you see in a dream, one you see once a year.
Such great reality! And the vision was clear.
A mother so caring, a queen in her palace,
Nice as the sky can be, an angel in her place.
She came into my life while it was dark inside.
She had cleared the eclipse and gave me back my pride.
I laughed. She came closer. I even sang a song.
For once, I was secure. She even sung along.
My eyes were wide open. Boy! I thought I could see!
Long as she was my light. Boy, I thought I was free!
Why, all of a sudden, I'm full of emotions?
Still hasn't been a month since the separation!
Did I see it coming? Did my ears stopped working?
Did I ignore the truth that my friends were telling?
I prayed and prayed again. But, the yelling gets me.
Now, two weeks on the road, I feel like I'm at sea.
I've been in that journey to discover myself.
My life doesn't have that much time left on the shelf.
I have faith in you, MA. Come back to help me grow!
I'm behind the curtains. Please come and end this show!

Widny Dorce Poem
A man had returned to the dust!
His friends had called to check on him
On this twenty-eight of August.
Not knowing he was a victim.
The night before, all three of them:
Greg Reid, Javon, and Michael B.
Knowing he was for them a gem,
Made sure, at home, he had to be.
Now, did they know he was dying
Or did they say "Bye" just in case!?!
The next day, they would be crying.
That day, the world had lost a man,
Black Panther who can't be replaced
was no other than Chad Boseman!
