Anshika Dubey Poem
The universe listened anyway.
Just like the rest ,yesterday was not too lit,
I was there in my balcony,the cool and calm breeze welcoming and swinging my soul ,
While hugging my knees I sit.
It was a ritual on the days I felt high or low,
The wind would bring the best essence of the flowers from someone's garden,to make me feel at home.
All that fragrance made me inquisitive,
My senses tried to follow,and brought me to my feet,
Only to notice a white beauty that was sneaking away from its plant ,
As if it were to come to me.
That moment of bliss faded quickly when an observation striked my heart,
The garden belonged to an old man who shouted at anyone who plucked even a leaf let alone a flower.
The flower was waving at me ,while I tried to overcome its charm,
It's fragrance allured me more, telling me it's my only chance.
The sky changed its shade from light blues to dark,
And now the only company I had were the glittery , twinkling, laughing stars .
I closed my eyes only to see the flower and smell in ecstasy,
And my next thought turned into a prayer,
to have that flower fallen on my side of the cemented boundary.
So that old man would not shout at me,
For having the flower that was meant to be with me.
The night thus came to an end,
Giving us few hours to rest ,before the next day began .
And as I did the ritual the next morning,
I peeked down to see that flower once again .
And there it was with its face on the ground and stalk in the air,
It were as if it was waiting for me to pick it up and run away.
I ran towards the staircase to get that blooming beauty that left its greenery to be with me,
And when I finally smelled it close I thanked the universe,the wind and even the tree.
Some wishes may turn true in just the time it takes to blink,
While some wishes takes time to be first bloomed within .
Never think your prayers or your talks with the one up above will ever go in vain,
Maybe he is busy making a way for you that will cause you less or no pain.
The plea can be for a flower or for your life when you forget the way ,
No matter how long you chatter , talk ,scream or even complain your thoughts away,
The universe listened to every word even if you forget what you said,
after calling it a day ,
the universe listened to the emotions you could not say,
and Even though it could not say a word to tell you it is okay ,
The universe listened anyway.

"And when she thought,it's the end.",she got wings.".
Nobody's perfect,right?
Everyone has lied sometimes, everyone has cried,.
But what matters is ,
how many times we have tried.
The butterfly got judged by the bees,. The trees got the lessons on breeze,.
It's quite funny, how people think ,.
That reality seizes to exist.
The life's a garden,.
Let us not compare our colours or fragrance or bloom,.
We are the best flowers of the garden that never complains to bloom.
