Bryan Leach Poem
Panic
My heart rate is jacked,
My thoughts are racing
And my world seems out of whack.
Derealization, real life like a dream,
Things strange and unfamiliar
I wish I could just beam…
Out of my new body and into that of old
Because this dream world I’m living in
Is just too dark and cold…
Like the opposite of hell but still the same,
I felt like I was dead until my savior came,
With his feet in the starting position like he wanted to race,
Life was finally good again until I punched him in the face.

Bryan Leach Poem
Panic
What is going on I’m not quite sure,
My world’s fading fast I need to find a cure,
I’ll go to the doc and he’ll give me a pill
Ha, a medicated life that I will…
Certainly not do as life’s taught me better,
I’d rather end up in a one-sleeved sweater
Because in my heart I know I’m not really crazy
And it’s just this experience I’ve had that’s left me a bit hazy.
With the things I’ve done its apparent I’m young
But the thing I regret most is biting my tongue
Because all I ever really needed from my mom was a hug
So I could realize that life is the best kind of drug
Because the high I get from doing something superb
Is far greater than that gotten from the fumes of an herb.
