Kathy-Lynn Ward Poem
Amidst the throes of what I miss,
'Tis not the grandeur, but the bliss
Of simple things, in quiet grace,
That brings your absence to embrace.
It's in the moments unadorned,
A shared laugh, a sunlit morn,
Where memories, like gentle streams,
Carry soft nostalgic themes.
The mundane sights that once we shared,
Now whispered echoes, tenderly bared,
A flower, a meal, the clouds above,
Stirring thoughts of boundless love.
Yet in this longing, there resides
A solemn truth that gently guides,
For in your rest, serene and deep,
No more the pain, no more to weep.
I do not crave your sorrowed past,
But oh, your presence unsurpassed,
For in its absence, stark and true,
I find myself missing you.

Kathy-Lynn Ward Poem
At break of dawn, the world seems still,
Yet stirs beneath the hush and chill.
The moon, though fading, holds her place,
As sunlight paints the sky with grace.
Palm trees stand with stately pride,
Their fronds in morning breezes glide.
Along the shore, bright laughter plays,
As children frolic in ocean sprays.
Soft breaking waves caress the shore,
Our footprints fade, seen no more.
Each wave departs, but not in vain,
It finds its way to rise again.
A Bajan greets with sage advice,
The breeze carrying his voice:
"Take in the air, let worries cease,
Embrace the morning, walk in peace."
The hush of dawn begins to lift,
As life resumes its steady drift.
Another smile, a kind good day,
Beneath the sun's unfolding ray.

Kathy-Lynn Ward Poem
Above green fields cane arrows rise,
A host of plumes against blue skies.
As they bloom they bring new life,
Yet echo times of toil and strife.
The arrows proudly lift their heads,
Where generations’ feet have tread.
Growing here is bitter-sweet,
As memory and landscape meet.
With every wave, with every sway,
They whisper tales of yesterday.
Of all that was, and yet may be,
A fleeting hymn to history.
