A Cry For Help

This was the hit heard all over the world

It could have went another way but chose to come ours

It’s fury was very mighty and we were at it’s mercy

Watching the news day in and day out on everything going on

All the people with no homes, jobs, clothes or food

Nothing to wash down the taste of fear in their mouths

All of them thinking what will happen to us now

Where will we go for shelter 

People still searching for loved ones

Wishing and praying there is, still hope out there in America

Yet it seems we are getting no help 

This is not how it should be

This is not the America we fight for freedom for

They say we are doing what we can but I still don’t see much getting done

Who will finally open their arms

Open their arms to help the ones who need it so badly

How can you just turn your head and not feel the pain

For us who this did not happen to we should feel very lucky to have what we do

Now if most could just understand what it’s like to have nothing

To have everything you worked for gone with a blink of an eye

How can we rush to foreign aid but can not help our fellow Americans

why must we all do harm to each other?
we're we not created equal?
who is one to judge another?
no one is perfect
skin color hair color the clothes we wear
why must this matter?
you can't judge a book by its cover
we all need to look deep down
look inside to see what each of us has
we are all special in God's eyes

I Love You

As I sit in my room wiht you on my mind

I think of al that could have been

Why didn't I open my eyes

Why didn't I follow my heart

Your soft kisses and loving embrace

Why did I shrug it off and let you go

Your the one I long for

Emotionally, physically I need you by my side

How much fun we had together

The talks on the phone about nothing of teh importance

The way you looked at me and smiled

How just the thought of you makes me warm inside

How do I say the words I want you to hear

For now it has been so long yet I still have the feelings

Now worried my pride will be hurt

Scared you'll reject me and walk away

Maybe you'll take it as a joke and laugh it off

I long for you to know, so here it goes

happiness can be right in front of you

wether you choose to see it or not is up to you

if you don't go after it it might not come find you

so why live in doubt

why wonder what could have been

go out and broaden your horizen

open your eyes and look further then you ever have before

Guide me down the path of life

Keep me away from harms reach

I give you my love and companionship

I will obey and honor you for all my life

I need you to cleanse my soul

The Battle

We heard your roar and felt your wind

Watched the water wash away our lives

We were completely at your mercy

We tried to run but it wasn't fast enough

For here we stand heartbroken

This is one battle we have lost

Everything we worked so hard for has just 

vanished

Now we are crying out for help

For we have no food, homes, or clothes

Praying there is still hope to find loved 

ones

God please give us the strength to go on 

from here

We are just people fighting for our lives in 

a town fighting for it's furture.

When i say i love you it comes from my heart
