Mind of the Heart
There is a river to cross we all think impossible,
The water is deep, it seems so improbable.
We sit and wait for help to come,
But being alone begins to dawn.
How? we cry, our fear and pain already drawn.
God gives a breath for us to take,
And in that space a plan we make.
To stand up tall and build that bridge, is the How? we cried, and blindly missed.
When the task is great and there seems no sense, take God’s breath, drop your defence.
Proceed with strength and remain aware,
More than your fear dictates your fare.
Faith, the most precious of riches, has proven to be the best builder of bridges.
