Justin Mathes Poem
When I say “I am a God”
I’m not saying that I am almighty.
I’m shouting that my power is limitless
The power of the Cosmos and Universe live through me.
When I say “I am a God”
I speak of this with pride.
Knowing that when I stumble in the darkness
My heart, will, and mind must be my guide.
When I say “I am a God”
Obstacles, disappointment, and adversity follow me.
Strong I must be. However, I can not gloat.
Knowing that the God in me won’t allow anything to kill my hope.
When I say “I am a God”
Isn’t this the reason we pray?
For the power of Self, to still become happy.
By overcoming any and every hardship that we may face?
When I say “I am a God”
Perfect no man can ever be.
Jesus didn’t die for our sins.
He died cause he was an example of what purity can be.
When I say “I am a God”
Let there be no misunderstandings or mistakes.
Humility is not far from me. Me, a humble man.
I know that my blessings or misfortunes stem from the actions I create.
When I say “I am a God”
My power comes from inside out, not outside in.
For my trials and tribulations, I gain appreciation.
Everything stems from within to forge our path to win.
When I say “I am a God”
We have been taught our whole life,
To see ourselves in a paltry light. “You are a God!”
Learn your Might and feel what it’s like when your true self Ignites.
