Charity Hullinger Poem
As blood and death flow,
Men stand United. Brothers.
Honorable. Fearless.

Charity Hullinger Poem
It ended as it began.
Not with an exclamation
But with a sigh
A soft exchange
A parting of hearts
Us turned to you and I

Charity Hullinger Poem
Remember that night?
When our hearts sung from our lips?
We never felt the rain.

Charity Hullinger Poem
Death,
Sad, forgotten,
Crying, fading, mourning,
Coldness, neglect, emptiness, tears,
Laughing, smiling, singing,
Warm, remembered,
Life.

Charity Hullinger Poem
Somewhere between now and then
I could have loved you better
Been more understanding
Softened my edges more
But would I still be who you first loved
Somewhere between now and then
May we meet as new people
With brighter smiles and softer hearts
How are you?
‘Without me?’ on the tips of our tongues
Somewhere between now and then
My heart will love again
And it won't fit quite right
In the you shaped hole left behind
Somewhere between now and then
I'll understand why and smile
I could have loved you better
But I think I loved you just enough

Charity Hullinger Poem
Love is fragile,
A slow plant to root
So water it with gentle words
And feed it with each tender caress
Never outgrow love
Fill each gaze since the first with that same wonder
That same breathless admiration
Make each kiss as profound as the first
Let each laugh be as bright
Never outgrow love
Have adventures, small or grand
Surprise each other
Dance in the rain
And above all…
Keep your arguments silly
Never outgrow love
Even if you grow apart
Don't be afraid to love
Even in the midst of heartbreak
Love is always stronger
Never outgrow love
