I Lay Dying

Thinking of you while I lay dying
The pain is so intense
I lay here screaming in pain
Hyperventalating to keep the oxygen coming
Crying over the one I have lost.
If only I could go back
And erase the wrongs I've done to you.
For now though,
I continue pining away in your shadow
I lay here dying

When I Saw You Pt. 2

When I Saw You pt. 2
When I saw you
Tears sprang to my eyes
I just tried to pass you by

When I saw you
You called my name
I just couldn’t walk away

All the memories came rushing back
My love for you, your love for me

When I saw you
And you wrapped your arms around me
I melted
It felt so right

You fixed everything
When you said “I miss you”
And smiled down at me

You said I was beautiful
And I melted once more

My life was turned upside down
When I saw you

When I Saw You

When I Saw You
When I came down those stairs
When I saw you
My world spun around me
I thought I was dreaming

I thought I’d never see you again
And when you pulled me into your arms
I thought I’d never be happier

I had reason to believe
That you didn’t want me
That you didn’t care
Whether I lived or died

But everything changed
When I saw you

I don’t care if you don’t love me
The way you did before
I still love you the way I did
Before you left for war
And as long as we’re still friends
I couldn’t ask for more

Promises

Promises
I promised myself I wouldn’t cry
But it’s just so hard to hold it in

I promised myself I wouldn’t worry
But I can’t stop thinking of what could happen

This time I promise
To keep my promises

I promise I won’t cry or worry
I promise I will pray and think of you
Most of all I promise
I won’t forget you

Promise me you’ll think of me
Promise to be careful and safe
I don’t care if you forget me
Just promise you’ll come home
