LADY IN RED

beautiful red gushes through the exit
beautiful red drips down your forehead
beautiful red does not love you no more
but beautiful red hugs you for a little while longer

oh lady in red, oh lady in red
why wont you join us in the place we all desire?

dissociate your thoughts till it's no longer there
disintegrate your skin till it boils down all your sins

dream of what you'll see before you greet
disappointment fills you till you can't even breath
the tears that you weep will dry like concrete
hold it in not much longer
sadistic mind, hold me tight
catching one last memory before you drift back into immobilizing sleep

the ensemble

i forgot what i said,
but it’ll be stuck in my head
till the stage drops it’s curtains
and the ensemble starts to cease
where it all turns quiet,
the violins may now rest in peace

but it’s okay,
cause i’ve got something better,
better than a musical play,
or the songs we made,
a place i can stay to think of the old days
where i played clair de lune and smelt the bouquets, of flowers they left me when you started to decay

and i know i’m caught in the past
but maybe one day i’ll move on at last
i was only 10 on that day, when you turned into a memory and drifted farther away
and i think to myself, how could it possibly end up this way?

i watched your eyes turn bleak
i could not believe what i had seen
they rushed to come find you,
you were laying near the kitchen sink
i hoped and i prayed,
that it would all turn out okay
but the next time i saw you,
your skin turned an earl grey

once this is finally over,
it’ll probably be a ways;
but i’ll play your favorite piece
just like the old days

AWAITED FATE

a bullet transfers to your brain
it nests there peacefully
til your just a mere rotting corpse
slowly becoming birds feed
you'll be saving lives with your own

you'll love the rain
it'll wash all the pain away
til the day you stay
you'll no longer be afraid
to be the way that you were made
resting in the dark alley
another way to the gateway

lacuna

floorboards creaking as i stepped through the halls,
i wished not to wake the stars at all

the nightfall kept lurking underneath,
the dripping wet furniture surrendered to the leaks

i crept to my room and opened the window
it was pouring outside, the clouds weeping with sorrow
i always try to talk to the sky and tell him a few stories
the tears might cease into silence, and wash away his worries

the sky is the child in me
i try to comfort him, to give us both what we need,
yet he burst into a state of rage
the house trembled, then whined
thunder and lightning quickly captured the night

the flood forced its way forward and swept me away with the storm,
i couldn’t breathe as he pushed me out the door

he carried me through the streets till i was met with the cold, sandy beach
i turned and watched as the place i called home slipped out of reach

suddenly i was engulfed by darkness, stifled with seaweed
i felt the waves strike but miss just above me,
my eyes strained and my heart skipped a beat,
the child i kept safe was nowhere to be found,
my sky, left me at the bottom of the ocean to drown

my smothered body rippled the water’s surface,
the sky calmed itself to mimic my emotions,
tending to my needs and comforting me in our ocean,
where at last, i rest peacefully
