Bodhisattva

I sit beneath a sacred tree. Seeking no meaning. I just am
Stillness gives way to clarity.
I vow to awaken us all
Searching for nothing. Waiting to rise above this earthly realm
Detaching from this body’s natural state of chaos
Bombarding all senses, numb
Dharma is obtainable, I vow to obtain it

Ink Blots

In the foreground of a dream, you stood before me, confessing your singular misstep.
Behind you, were two images. As only my subconscious mind could decipher, then conveyed to me.
Only the words lingered. They toppled down from your careless mouth, falling towards the ground beneath your unsteady gait, as you paced to and fro; much like a cornered animal.
For months I revisited that dream. Still, I found no answer to the question I asked of you.
You claimed to have committed the act only one time.
All my good senses tell me your heroes lived on death row
Mother’s are to blame for the role you played in the demise of so many.

Ink Blots was the foreground of this dream. Escaping me so obviously.
So now I must wait as they build a case.

You Are Here

The map on the wall reads, Your closer than you think.
Just awhile longer. Leave it all up to me.
Straight and narrow is the only way, towards the happiness you seek.

Are you capable of this challenge? You do realize you have a choice.
Misery does love her companions. Quiet, submissive;without voice.

I’m just here for the Food

Now you see me.Now you don’t
Everything in between that quote
Not open for question or debate

Tiny Home

Wind outside my tiny home, wreaking chaos on its porch
Wicker chairs and potted plants, stand firmly against its force
Finely tuned chimes sound loudly, sending sweetly toned notes into the night
A candle I’ve lit flickers, with the flow of cool currents through aging wooden panes
As the warm glow from the fire, now comforting, fends off the chill from a cool springtime rain
Tuxedo cats hardly notice a thing, intertwined into something resembling a fine sable
Opening one eye on occasion, then quickly returning to twilight
The fire logs let out a soft sounding hiss, as they shrink into hot glowing embers
Fixing my gaze towards its vibrant colors. Comforting, Hypnotic
Drift off to sleep with sounds of a storm. Who’s sharp pitches and tones
Guiding me gently like binaural beats and theta waves
Into another state, created by conscious choice. A world of making all my own

Christmas Dinner

Christmas geese run loose on corporate lawns
So why should I stand in line at the markets
When dinner is free ranging on asphalt in visitors parking

With a bag of stale popcorn I’d forgotten
Carefully placed upon the ground
Bread crumb leading to that place
Ensuring Holiday dinner on my plates

Different For Everyone

I don’t need a relationship, title or privilege to define me
I just need to find me

In the Meantime

I’m waiting. Watching you, watching me.
I wonder, what you’ll tell the jury
When they’re deciding your fate?
Will you even make it to trial?
I see you cowering in some dark corner
After the dirty thoughts have fled from your wild mind
Sucking on your fate, fetal style
Now that you’ve done the deed.
My scent still fresh on your lizard scales
Excitement gives way to terror
When you remember all of your mistakes
Of trace evidence
Pointing its bony finger, right at you!
Oh, but the ecstasy! Finality of it all!
You did it! You really did it!

Soon

Before I rest I must confess, transgressions of each day
For my mold not perfect, and my way, not clear

I speak in affirmations. Making each task achieved; Complete.
Only then will I close my eyes. Certain they’ve served some need

A wanting hand holds nothing. Forgetful minds, regret
A beating heart, a day’s reminder.
There’s still life, that lies ahead.

Black and White

To mix the two together only brings gray. Battling persona. Never on cue.
For one’s never certain, which facade debuts.

Dark finely feathered, filled with lustful charades
Hides behind a notion of monogamous filled days

Graceful creature. Godly vision in feather white
Drawling towards her a suitor. Virtuous, her guise.

Black swan cannot resist, as she struggles for breath.
White swan now removed
In his arms, they shall rest.

Ignited with such passion. Inhibitions retreat
Allow this lover. Entrance
White swans unaware of this inevitable defeat.

Dark swan found a mate, who’s passions surpass
Coupled forever. Forever at last
