The Sightless at a medieval bazaar

The sightless amass daily at dawn; a pilgrimage
Arms outstretched clutching away; the sightless.
A winding trunk grazing away to appease the pangs of hunger; the calloused skin of a leg, a cauliflower shaped ear, a skinny tail swaying restlessly
We know not what this is they echo in chorus; mouths voicelessly ajar at the gigantism
Bellows emit endlessly; stomping, churning,
A woolly mammoth perhaps…..Ice age
Clouds of perplexity choking the cerebrum….. the sightless concur….it must be a powerful apparition, a deity
Could it be that mythical monster; Loch Ness it ain’t, NHS perhaps
A Druid dance up the hillside may help us nail the answer
Ah…..we see it now….the answer flying in the wind…
Not as you like it, but “ASDA”…a medieval bazaar!

A New Year Wish - Intrinsic Motivation

Intrinsic motivation
The cogs to elevation
To tick over and over
Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock
To persevere, persist and permeate
Whatever life may throw
To ride the peaks & troughs
Till a perfect storm of dastardly acts
A kangaroo short of a circus
Came home to roost
An existential crisis…
Begone…asap
To begin anew
Intrinsically motivated

To be Cherished

To be Cherished

To be treated well
To be spoken to gently
To be taken at one's word
To be heard coherently
To be seen clearly
To be cherished
To be celebrated, moles, whiskers and faults
To be worthy
To be worthwhile
Should I move planets
Should I move universe
Which one could this be...

Let the Children be an inspiration

Let the children not be….
For transient peace to be…
In the burrow…
Let them not linger in their rooms
Doing what they want to…
Let them be frayed…
Let there be light & enlightenment for all
Not just a select few…
Let the children not be…
Let the shape not sort it out
Just for peace to be…
…coffers unlimited they don’t have
…the shape of things to come,
so think the delusional!
Let the Children be
...an inspiration
...to lead the way forward
Not give in to the piffles and trifles
Not just to tell the time
Big Ben!
Ding Dong!

Feminism - a seasonal phenomenon not!

Feminism
not a cause for the season
not a “select”…only
not a choice to adorn….”esg”
not a biscuit to crumble…stale
not a tick in the books
not to bat away like a gnat
not to wash away…a sandcastle
not for a cause…far far away
not in the land of a female monarch
not one queen, more than one
not witnessed…anywhere else
A graveyard of schoolboy errors
To bury one’s head in shame…such cringe worthiness,
To attempt an impingement…insanity it surely was!
Not a shred of integrity….it looks to be

Shipwrecked in a sea of Delusions

Love
Not felt, nor seen
Lost….
Forgotten, lost to the waves
Waves of hurt, bobbing away
Locked, in prisons of their own making
Cut off from the shore
Shores not seen a while, marooned
Till the rocks of culpability, to break
To open a heart, shipwrecked
Shipwrecked in a sea of delusions
Shipwrecked in a sea of angst

Let the Cowboys be, in pastures new!

Cowboys
Let the cowboys be…
Let them tend to causes....genuine and real
To bequeath…an opportunity to be authentic.
To bequeath…a shot at redemption
To weed the errant and replant in ravines, chasms
In pastures new…
….the errant cowboys,
…..burdensome, irksome, oppressive…too much
….for sale, with privileges too plentiful
…..the ones acting out.. avaricious mode aplenty
……one too many errors
……. lives not to be trampled upon
………let the cowboys be, in bountiful pastures new!
Perhaps some coffee beans to sweep away the pain
The angst caused by servings of callous, and cruelties untold

Safe Shores

A languorous morning

Nestled in between warm duvets, a goose feathered pillow or two…a luxury
A striped kitten, a beautiful shade of grey, on a windowsill grey too; purring, gentle breaths, authenticity so appealing
A glass of champagne….
Generously sprinkled atop with sweetness, cinnamon, vanilla and pink zest
Lethargy turning to verbose; edginess not an epitome of etiquette; gentleness with serenity not stoicism
To push into stoicism by villainy, by the non stoical; not the mark of a genteel soul; stretched to the brim; virtuousness from non believers a travesty
Not an outlaw in sight, older but no wiser; consigned to dust; a dusty haven
Not to darken ones heart; propped up by others as a token: boundaries and fences many to mend
Not one stitch, but a thousand stitches, a scroll or two it may take to weld together; to make wholesome again
To breathe in and out; a breath only at a time; peacefully; when only in pain, a chunderous notion…so thunderously unpleasant
Languorous envy from the lethargic masses; to want to jump ahead without the labour; backbreaking; incessantly to repeat…. so lacking in discernment
How could you so….more pink champagne along with some reviving sea air may restore nerves frayed from too much stoicism!
To retire forever under the smog of stoicism; fogginess; mirthless fools to descend to meaningless gestures; only repeat cycles of misery can emerge from this
To shrug away, a blanketing of ineptitude, a wilful cloaking of ignorance, chaos..…gently, light heartedly, euphorically, at pace; no saddle in sight
Warhorses; workhorses; so unsightly, unsolicited…a abstraction that should be retired ; to want to continue only a profiteering from misery Scrooge like
To enjoy in Madeira and Palestine whilst basking away in the balmy sunshine …an orange or two, along with a vase of aromatic orange blossoms permeating the senses; not haunted by memories of any prince unchivalrous; only an intellectual gallant will do; sir Lancelot….perhaps
To want to make one repeatedly; a beast of burden for the asinine to ride, a puerile and laughable notion
Even Eve may agree….amidst the mortification
To languorously, recollect at one’s own pace, at peace, astutely…. along with more pink champagne… to sip slowly, slowly away, such blissfulness!
No char-gin for the wiser, after a lifetime of purposefulness, a practicing of behavioural economics!
The young to benefit seamlessly…. from this wisdom, a mark of integrity, a civilised society

Oppression and Free falling

Opression
Too oppressive for comfort, the proximity
Life with its array of shades, hues and shadows
Encumbered by words said and unsaid
Sentiments unspoken, muffled and silenced
Confusion vine like, slowly and surely rooting, sprouting to spread tentacles wide
Deadweights holding back the soul..too many
From floating onwards to free falling,
Like castaways, entwined and entangled by spiders, nets, not of the earthly kind
Webs carelessly conceived and constructed
An elaborate facade of untruths
All consuming darkness, of the immoderate quality,
Enthralled in its own gloominess, the absence of light, subsumed by madness
The creator and those who ceaselessly perpetuate, vacuously

Gratitude along with Tea cake

Tit for Tat
An eye for an eye
Short on little gestures of gratitude
…Grace and compassion
…Mirth and kindness
Adulation and admiration seeking only
Outward facing
Stamping on everything that grows in its shade!
Too much shade
Can be a trial
To have a pot of tea, and a tea cake
To soothe a set of nerves
Frayed...and hanging by it tendrils
The wafting smell, flavours of the teacake...just enough
Gratitude in little ways
A little man's love...to aspire to
