Kyle Giauque Poem
the mouth spins webs
of lies and deceit
that catch you, ensnare you
in it's merciless grip
the face puts up
a convincing facade
it feigns a heartfelt smile
or hides the crushing sorrow
a person entreats you
becomes your friend
then strikes you down
and leaves you for dead
and how would I
detect the lie?
I must watch the eyes
the eyes never lie

Kyle Giauque Poem
Wind
softly
smoothly
blowing through the fields
Wind
whispers
calls
talking between the trees and leaves
Wind
cool
gentle
flowing over my skin
Wind
powerful
beautiful
breathes life into the world

Kyle Giauque Poem
I fear of going to sleep now
of even closing my eyes
I fear the blinding darkness
for that's where the creature lies
I try to run
for help I cry
but darkness just watches
as silence replies
a creature forms
of darkest shadow
he catches me
won't let me go
in an icy embrace he holds me
and with a chilling sigh
says "Do you mind if I steal your soul
and drain it till it's dry?"
