They Will Be Cruel

They will be cruel
They think they overrule
Over every girl and boy
And try to control them like a type of puppet or toy

Some think that’s cool
To use your emotions as a tool
To get in your head
And make you cry as it is said

But don’t let them get to you
Because if you do
You will fall into the trap that they have set
And there will you go along with your self esteem that you have tried so hard to get

So just ignore them they are nothing at all
They are nothing so don’t let them make you fall

Sorry

I am sorry for not being there on the night of your show
The biggest night of one’s true life
I am sorry I missed that big game
The one you say you were there to play
That night I’m sorry when I wasn’t there to go on tour
The tour of your life
I am sorry I missed the biggest day
Of that same day you married him
But all this I say sorry for
I really watched up by heaven’s door
So when I say I’m sorry
I really mean
I am sorry for not saying anything when I was dying

This Man Was Loyal ,This Man Was Honor

He had loyalty
He had honor
He had me
And a daughter

But being the man he was
With pride and good will
He gave himself up
To the stars and stripes

I remember him saying
Don’t worry I’ll be fine
And he would look away
And I’d be crying

He gave me his word that he would be back
He wanted to be a firefighter after the war
But god had other plans
And a notice came to my door

Saying

He had loyalty
He had honor
To the wife
And to the daughter

He said before he was shot
To give this to you
It’s not much
But it will do

He loves you both
And wants you to remember him
So with that
I give you this

And inside the package that came with the letter
Was a plaque that read
This man was loyal
This man was honor

Life Is Like a Narrow Passageway

Life is like a narrow passageway
You go through it and you don’t know where it ends
Just like you go through life and you don’t know when it’s your time unless it hits you
Although there is light at the end
There is always hope
There is help
And there is always someone there waiting for you
Life is like a narrow passageway
You go through
And that’s your life
Till you find the light
There are turns and fallbacks
There are mistakes and mishaps
But most of all there is always something with you
There is always God beside you walking with you to pick you up when you fall

Prayers Are Like a Message

Prayers are like a message
You send them to someone who can take care of it for you
But if you don’t write the message no one can help you
I have learned prayers since I was born
Every night I say a pray

These 4 corners on my bed
These 4 angels over head
Mathew mark Luke and john
This is the bed that I lay on
And If I die before I wake
I pray the lord my soul to take

And then I add stuff to it after that
And then at the dinner table when I was little I would say this prayer

God is good
God is great
Let us thank him for our food
Bow our heads
We must be fed
Give us lord
Our daily bread
Amen
God bless

The when I used to go to this church camp which last year was my last year
We would make up these prayer songs before a meal.
One of them was

God is good
God is great
God he gave us chocolate cake
He is a righteous dude
He gave us food
Ruba dub dub
Three men in a tub
(Father, son, and Holy Spirit)
Thank you god for this great grub
Amen amen amen amen

So prayers are a big part of my life and have been for a very long time and always will be

Lights Out

Darkness fills this place
The hate covers my heart
When will love return to this place I loved
When will hate leave this place that was adored
Why must we turn them off?
And leave the anger to linger
Why must we turn off the items that shine in this place
To make it brighter
Why must we have hate and anger and pain and suffering?
Why must we turn off the lights to this place that we love?
And let the hatred stay and the play that it lays
Why must we not turn on the light to let it fade away?
And be happy once more
Why?
Why must we have lights out?

Mellow Is the For Today

The smell of morning dew
The mist in my hair
As I wake form my midnights slumber
To greet the mellow day

I walk out of my tent to greet the lake
To wash the morning look off my face
The sound of the babbling brook feels me with peace
As the cool crisp waters tingle my ears

The rugged mountains say hello
As the morning birds do also
The rugged mountains would tremble the lake
As if to give it a warm grip handshake
Chirp Chirp is what the birds would say
To greet me in their mannerly way

The Way We Learn Is a Choice

The way we learn is a choice
The way we live is a choice
The way we give up our time is a choice
What you do is your choice

Us as humans have many choices
We are free to live by the way we want to live
We can do anything
But listen to this

Just because you are human
And just because you can do anything
Does not mean there are not consequences
You have free choice but your choice always has a consequence

You are sworn into a life where there are rules
You are sworn into a life of commitment
But let me tell you this
You have a choice to live the way that you intend to do

“Where there is a will there is a way”
Yesterday or today
Both of those comments mean
That any time you have a choice and if it is possible it is capable

We all live by our own standards
Us as humans tend to make up our own rules
But again that is your choice
And again your choice and every choice has a consequence

These consequences may be good or bad
They may hurt you or benefit you
But remember what was once said
“With every action there is an equal and opposite reaction”

Now I know that’s physics but it implies to your choices
With everything you do there is a reaction
And it can be as good as you started out or it can get worse
So when you make your choices think about your reaction and whether it will be equal or opposite.

True Colors

An angry sister who walks away
A sad brothers who turns his back
Me, confused, with mixed emotions, and blown up
Try to say what I feel
Try to show my true colors of red and blue
I try to talk and cry
I try to scream and yell
But I keep all that inside
But I turn around and when nobody is their
Then you know my true colors show

Sixteenhood

Childhood is when I believed that if I stared at something long enough my eyes would get
stuck that way
The feeling of uncertainty but complete and freedom and fun
Childhood was the never ending kisses from grandma and saying that I could help her make
cookies and the sweet smell of success and being able to halve milk with them
Childhood id best friends that never grew old of playing and letting their imagination be free
of any trapped door
Childhood was never being made fun of or if someone laughed you, you didn’t care and
would laugh back
Childhood is if you got in trouble and crying fits would come then leave after you got a hug
Childhood was time outs and spankings and then a stern talking to when you were done
Sixteen hood is using common sense and thinking before you speak and do
Sixteen hood id letting you drive and being responsible for another life and your own
Sixteen hood id being halfway done with high school and facing the facts that come with
growing up
Sixteen hood is a ray of laughter that you get from the rising sun with classmates
Sixteen hood is remembering what childhood is and was but knowing what growing up in
sixteen hood means
