Larry Vernier Sr Poem
He walked the streets with charm, a handsome man so fair.
But unaware of his own beauty, lost in his own despair.
His heart yearned for love, a love he's never known.
Searching in every face, in every smile, in every tone.
The mirror showed a face, a face so undefined. A face that held the key, to the love he hoped to find.
But confidence was lacking, buried deep inside, And love remained elusive, a distant, fleeting tide.
The world passed him by, as he stood in quiet longing.
Wondering if love would find him, in a world so cold and daunting.
He knew not of the allure he possessed, the charm he held within, His heart cried out in silence, a silent plea for love to win.
So he walked on in sadness, in a world that seemed so gray, Hoping one day love would find him, and take his pain away.

Larry Vernier Sr Poem
Ink pours from my pen like blood from an open wound.
The endless void in my soul that fills daily with words that suffocate my existence.
There is no cure. No pill to take that will manage the words that flood my brain like water through a broken dam.
All I can do is continue to expel the words onto paper to make room for the next flood of literature.
So until I learn to control it I will continue to splatter the blood from my pen and share with others the infection of literary feelings my mind is consumed with.

Larry Vernier Sr Poem
I've searched and searched
With no success
I've made my whole life
Such a mess.
Don't make the same mistake twice
But you end up doing it and pay the price
You say I'll never do that again
Next thing you know here you are without your friend
But as you dig you see a light
This time may work
I think it might.
Finding love takes a consuming heart
One that quickly heals after being torn apart.
You'll find that love if that's your goal
You'll look in their eyes and and feel love in your soul
