Karam Abdulkareem Poem
The fabric of existence
is stifling.
Desperation in heart
is overwhelming.
A caring Son,
a loving spouse,
a true sibling,
a caring parent,
a loyal friend
are what
we must pursue.
Finding balance,
an art to refine.
In the tapestry of life,
each thread interwine.
We strive to mend,
with patience,
empathy
and love.
We cherish
the bond we depend.

Karam Abdulkareem Poem
Stroking your petals
drenched in dew,
a gentle breeze came near me,
carrying the fragrance of your nectar,
gently stirring me awake.
Captivated by your essence,
I came near you like a hummingbird,
to savor the sweetness of your bloom.
Though hummingbirds press lip to lip,
savor nectar, and fly away,
I embraced you with both my wings.
It was love that I held for you.
You said nothing,
nor did you push me away.
As I held you close to my breast,
the thorns of your tender body
pierced the depths of my chest.
I fell lifeless to the ground.
A soft smile lingered on my lips,
fading gently,
like the last light of the dusk.
As my final breath slipped away,
I saw your petals adorned in crimson,
dyed red with my blood.
Blooming with quiet satisfaction,
for we had finally become one.

Karam Abdulkareem Poem
The wind whispered in my ears,
the secret that you told.
Before the moon ascends,
I shall come to your side.
Let us sit by the seashore,
beneath a canopy of stars,
bathed in moonlight’s glow,
speaking endlessly,
as countless as the grains of sand,
dancing with the waves,
until the sun rises in the east,
painting the sky
in hues of reddish orange.

Karam Abdulkareem Poem
In the depths of sorrows,
each time we feel,
clueless about
how bad it's gonna be,
when it hits on another day,
an otherwise pleasant one.
In loneliness,
I search everywhere,
even within
the narrowest of ant holes,
for a slender beam of light,
that would lighten up my heart
and melt away my sorrows.
I scoured everywhere
but found no ray of comfort.
Mom,
I traveled miles everyday,
to be with you,
to breathe the air you exhale.
I traveled miles every day,
while others refused
to disrupt their comfort.
I traveled miles everyday
to smell the fragrance
of your presence,
I traveled miles everyday
to dwell in the bubble
of your essence.
I turned to countless faces,
They told me,
"We are not in pain now,
But, we'll come to you,
when we slip into our sorrows".
All I yearned for was
someone to say,
"I am there with you,
together we shall endure it,
through all your hardships.
And if you stumble again,
I'll still be here
until you regain your footing,
spread your wings,
and soar towards the sun".
Shower on me not,
with doom and gloom.
All I need is,
the strength
to fly with my wings,
shielding you all beneath.

Karam Abdulkareem Poem
In a stage of metamorphosis,
I abide.
within cocooned life,
feeling stifled.
With patience,
I embrace transformation
Gathering strength
for a mighty triumph.
Yes,
the cocoon fiber is tougher,
than any in the world out.
One fine day,
I'll emerge
bold and strong,
immune and resilient,
a journey prolonged.
Yet,
with a heart gentler.
A metamorphosis complete,
a soul reborn.

Karam Abdulkareem Poem
As the sun emerged from its slumber,
lifting the veil of night.
The frost melted,
and awakened the flowers and leaves.
Nectar began to flow,
spreading its fragrance around,
bees and butterflies
danced around the bloom.
Male birds built their nests,
and the mates arrived.
Warmed by the tender rays of the sun,
I turned to a gentle breeze
and came by your side.
Whispered love into your ears
and held your cheeks in my hands,
drawing you close,
and savored the nectar of your lips.
In your nape, I paused,
and filled around your neck,
between the bosoms
and on the frosty tips,
the whirlpool and hidden depths,
leaving traces of my essence.
As I brushed your feet
and moved away,
my gaze lingered only on you.
But you never knew,
and you never heard,
the melody sung by this gentle breeze.
To you, it was just a fleeting breeze,
while I carried the weight of love.

Karam Abdulkareem Poem
Timeless Union
At sunrise,
gazing out the window,
the sky bathed in its
reddish-orange hues,
as the sun
and the full moon
shared the sky.
My bare arms
cradled your bosoms,
like the sky
embracing both
the moon and the sun.
When my tender lips
gently pressed behind your ear,
the warmest of my breaths
awakened shivers in you.
Gracefully, we swam
with gentle motion,
rolling and breaching,
like humpback whales
on an arduous migration,
yearning for love’s embrace,
culminating in an exquisite
timeless union.

Karam Abdulkareem Poem
O blackish-blue-eyed girl
with eyes lined with ember,
who dreams of clouds
and endless skies,
Let me gaze into your eyes,
once more,
as they bloom like a flower,
pulling me into their depths.
O girl with captivating eyes,
grant me the chance
to love you once again.
A violent storm arose,
dust swirled, veiling the earth,
and in the sky,
I saw your mesmerizing eyes,
drawing me into you,
like a black hole.
My soul left its home,
and merged with you,
the black hole faded
into the abyss of space.

Karam Abdulkareem Poem
Tender Moments,
Within them lies an unwritten poetry.
In the heart of the beholder
dwells its grace.
It's charm gets ever bolder,
evolving into magnificence.
An art in itself,
written anew,
from the back of your earlobe
to the tip of your toe.
