Holding onto a memory

Holding onto a memory,
but I can’t stop holding onto it.
It’s a piece of my heart that I can’t stop thinking about.

I miss those beautiful eyes that I could stare at for hours, I miss the way you cared about little things.

But you dont do that anymore, It’s all just a memory

i love you

those 3 words.
youve said them so much and so easily but left like it was nothing like theyre just words that have been used so much it doesnt need to be real anymore.

a rose

he gave me a rose
a beautiful red rose

i love roses
i love the scent of them
i love how beautiful they are
i love everything about them

but they had thorns
they poked me and i bled
i couldnt stop bleeding

he got me a bandaid
everything was okay again

but it still stung
