The cage

Trapped in a cage,
With dreams shattered
Meant to be forgotten
Dreams of being free
From the tormenting cage

The bird tries to free itself,
Trying to ignore the hurtful judgements,
Trying to be itself,
And not a picture-perfect bird,
That they want it to be

They want it to be something else,
Something, it does not want,
But what can it do,
If trapped inside a cage,
It cannot get out of

'One day I'll be free,' says the bird,
Out of the cage, it will be
Pursuing the dreams of its own
Proving to them,
That its dreams are better

All it has to do
Is to abide by them
So as to be free one day
From the bondage
Inside the cage

This world

For hundreds of years, I've been alone,
Alone in this cold world,
Filled with misery and brutality,
With every century that passes by,
The world seems to get worse

I sit under a tree,
Thinking about this world,
Will this century be better?
Then a figure is seen from a far
With every step it took it became clear

It came nearer becoming clearer,
Gosh! It was a beautiful woman,
Her hips swayed as she walked,
She looked like a good soul
But was her inner self good?

A lad walked briskly beside her,
Pleading for a coin,
To feed himself and mother,
The woman angrily looked at him,
And spat at his rusty old cup

The beautiful woman became ugly,
Kicking and spitting at the lad,
I couldn't believe that this was the woman I admired,
This century was also the same,
Maybe this world would never change,

The lonely wild beast

The wild beast roams alone,
Not so long ago did it have many friends,
It remembers the times they shared,
But all that came to an end,
After one fateful day.

Its friends had an argument,
An argument really bad,
All this the crocodiles noticed,
And pounded on their victims,
One by one.

They all survived,
But blamed the wild beast,
It could not defend itself,
Because its prey saw the argument first,
Informing the others they had a feast.

Its friends decided to leave,
Far away to the other side of the lake,
Leaving the wild beast alone,
With no friends,
But itself.

The wild beast tried to follow them,
And apologize for something it didn't do,
But its prey attacked it,
And it remained behind,
With no one else but itself.

IF

Live, love and have fun,
That's what people say,
But all this is unrealistic to me,
If we live in a cruel world,
If the people around us are brutal
