Christi Kopp Poem
Blue evening dress
Topographical cleavage
Nurturing mother
Father Sky reigns high
Soft touch on her horizon
Her head covered with
A wintery Arctic scarf
With white pumps to match
He caresses her
His radiant passion flames
Heating up her womb
Encompassing her with love
Warm and cold climatic touch
His breath cools her skin
Tenderly moistening earth
Life springs from within

Christi Kopp Poem
She walks silently through the mist.
The headstones reach out to grab her.
She searches for her grave.
No, it doesn't say Raven, not yet anyway,
But it does hold her heart and her soul.
Her child, small and helpless without a mother.
Her husband, alone, unable to be comforted in her arms.
She runs now, afraid she will never find it.
Finally she sees the marble monument,
She sits down on the grave.
Her fingers tracing the words,
Names etched in the hard stone for all eternity.
She struggles again with her decision.
Will others think her a coward or a hero?
Does it matter at all what they think?
At last, she makes her decision,
Tears stream down her face as she raises the pistol,
And sends it flying into the mist.

Christi Kopp Poem
Thoughts of a world without you
Make me cringe.
I felt you were invincible.
You were the constant,
The strength when I could carry the pain no more.
Always the courage when I was afraid.
My sole source for true love,
Love independent of my success or failure.
Never could I imagine this day would come.
Now, death grips your hand tighter than life.
I try to be strong.
I hope I am brave.
I pray every day I find your traits in me.
The hours seem to fly.
Tomorrow floats so far ahead.
Nothing is certain,
Each breath could be the last.
I weep, sad for the impending loss.
Yet joyous in the knowledge
Soon you will suffer no more.

Christi Kopp Poem
I sat quietly weeping
My womb forever sleeping
No baby ever to grow there in.
Doctor says that I am barren.
Years go by I try to cope.
Lovers leave there is no hope.
Strange these flutters in my belly.
Sick so sick, everything is so smelly.
Flutters turn to kicks and wiggles.
Labor pains, and I have the giggles.
Husband standing by my side.
Now four children are my pride.

Tripped over sand packed in a pail
Watching ocean ships set sail
Fell and hurt my pride
Not believing what I spied
Top hat and coat being worn by a whale

Christi Kopp Poem
First thing in the morning I rise needing you,
And the last thing before sunrise needing you.
The places we have traveled are empty,
Echoing silence since I prize needing you.
Food has no flavor leaving the world bland,
Since to be complete it is wise needing you.
Without you time has no meaning,
Days last foever while no time flies needing you.
Our family is incomplete with you gone,
We are lost as all our heart dies needing you.
You laugh and cast us aside,
Holding power over those with cries needing you.
You have become cold and distant,
I cannot stand any more lies needing you.
All passions have come to an end,
Through eternity I despise needing you.
