Monster of myself

Following me wherever I go
My greatest fear and my biggest foe
Long dark nights you keep me awake
Even the beating of your heart 
And your breathing like a snake
I wish you would leave me alone
I hear your voice every time I pick up the phone
I tried one time to hurt you 
I watched the rock as it flew 
Seven years of bad luck but I’m still not done with you

The forgotten people

We are creatures of the nights 
We hide undisturbed in plain sight
With the souls he lost and the children he lulls
Broken hearts and cracked open skulls
We feed on karma and stupid presidents
And laugh at the god to which he repents
We won first place for the contest of losers
we are a drug and you’re the abusers
When your prayers are not answered and your screams are silenced
We’ll be the ones who’ll save you from the tyrant
And when your eyes dim and your mind fades 
Our darkness is to where your body finally pervades
