You Wanted A Galaxy

You wanted me to give you a galaxy
But I could only reach for the stars
You wanted my everything
But I only wanted your arms

How Do You Lose A Friend You Never Had

How do you lose a friend you never had?
Ache from the pain that shouldn't be there?
I thought I knew you, pathetic and sad...
Believe me, I know

How do you love someone you never met?
Yearn for the love and comfort never truly offered?
I thought you loved me, but I was nothing but a pet...
But now, I know

Love

In her eyes I see my future,
For my past, a suture,
A beautiful spectrum of color,
A magnificence that is all her.

In her locks I see a fire,
Her heart I keep and admire,
A love so pure, so bright,
A light for the darkest night.

In her face I see a home,
A place where I'm not alone,
A haven so pretty, unique, and stable,
I'll love her with every breath if I'm able.

I'm Trapped

I'm trapped inside a maze that's my own head
I don't know if I'd rather find a way out or be dead
Twists and turns, memories that burn
Burn the perfect picture of someone I thought I knew

I'm trapped in the raging fire you have created
I'm bleeding and crying, hurt and berated
The smoke of your actions fill my lungs
I'm choking on the thought of what you've done

I'm trapped in a cage and I can't let it in
The fallout of your actions, your despicable sin
The monsters you conjured are here
Here to destroy me, by telling the truth

Weeping Willow

I wrote you poetry
All it did was make you angry
So now I swing from the weeping willow tree
Waiting for the end of me

Oh weeping willow
Aren't they happy down below
Time for me to reap what they sow
Take the punishment and go

Ocean In The Desert

You held me when you were broke,
Your hands wrapped around my throat,
All my friends think I'm a joke,
For drowning, so you could float.

You lit a match so I burned,
I took it all, every hurt,
Trying to love you, I've learned,
You can't be the ocean, for a desert
