Earthly Revolution PART 1 - THE SUNSET

Earthly Revolution – A three part series
Part I- The Sunset

Last year, the sun set on a long era
A time-tale of my life, that was not smooth as a bira
As the golden light changed into twilight
I just soaked in every emotion I felt, till it was night
There was hope for the new day that will ring
But there was fear too for the unknown it would bring
As the sun set , I realized it not only took with it the light
It took away the warmth
and all my beliefs and identities that I held so tight

Bira* Indian brewed light beer

Calling out your Farce

The Lies you tell me and then tell yourself
the way you act as a victim in your own web of hell
and if I call out your horse- , you will blame and throw a fit
you cut me with your behavior and words and then don't expect me to bleed
you then after much confrontation say sorry as if it will add to your good deed
its time to make this right and I am done not standing up
So I am going to hold you accountable for these actions that has caused all this mess-up.

Earthly Revolution Part 2 - The Nightfall

Part II – The Night fall
The night came alive with the brightened city lights,
The drinks flow and all was sparkly and bright
But as the clock crept to mid night, the lights dim and die
Soon it was dark and empty with just few stars shining up in the sky
My heart was numb, and I found my self alone and cold
Thoughts flooded – Am I fool to restart and just imposing to be bold.

Somewhere in this night, a fire fly crossed my path,
Made me feel its warmth and let love from my heart unearth
I thought it would be my friend and wait till it is dawn
But even before the night turned its darkest it was gone
Now the dark night looms over my head,
I am trying to be patient and asleep in my bed
All I prayer now is for this long bitter cold and dark night to end
Forever grateful to all the warmth and light , the new day will trend

He left

I wanted to say sorry and make you stay
But you never gave me a chance
You left before I could have any say
You never called, you never messaged
I waited the night , I waited the day

Over and over, I played the memories
I tried to figure what I did wrong that you cast me away
You just left while I stayed in your love and hate
All I ever wanted was our connection to grow in play
I am relearning how to live life without you
But all I think is about you, wish I could just turn this time away

Heart says Mind says

Heart says "But I want to know"
Mind says " Its time to let go."

Heart says "I can't take this ache"
Mind says "Ypu always knew this would one day break"

Heart says "If given a chance, I shall this time make it work"
Mind says "You gave your best, now blame it to bad luck!"

falling again

When I met you I was numb
But you came along and gave me a thumb

I reached out to grab it but you held out your hand
Then I waited for you to leave but you said you will wait till I land

I purposely stumbled
but you did not let the earth below crumbled

So I moved away
and you still made into my heart anyway

Then I fell for you and you told me ..
don’t fall … spread your wings baby and just fly with me !

The Domino Effect

The Domino Effect
The sky fell mercilessly and tornadoes fury was landed The earth caved where seeds of new crop a farmer had planted
In recession, the capitalists made a fortune
And the deprived were left with debt and burden

In moments triumphs were not of those who had toiled hard
but those who were able to play the fluke card
The rain did not fall in the barren land
and the police encountered the innocent man
The aging parents lost their bread winning child
And the winter at the refugee camps was anything but mild
The father hit the mother in front of her young children very violently
The forest fire cost every house on the ground blatantly The privileged were given more favours and opportunity The humble were provided with disappointments and ambiguity
A family slept hungry again another night
A child was left alone in fright
The pups were treated by their caretaker unkindly
All because someone treated their loving friend badly!

dil ki duan

Mehfil mein Yaari aur Dosti ki Kammi nahin Hogi
Mehfil mein Yaari aur Dosti ki kammi nahin hogi
Aashiq aur Deewane bhi kahi milein Honge
Par Hum Jaisi Mohabbat karne walein
Siri teri Khushi Ke liyein Alvida Karne walein
Kabhi hi milein honge

Mehfil mein Yaari aur Dosti ki Kammi nahin Hogi
Mehfil mein Yaari aur Dosti ki kammi nahin hogi
Aashiq aur Deewane bhi kahi milein Honge
Par tujse mohabbat jo kar li hain maine ..
Uski saaza tho sirf nahin ho sakthi ...
Ab humse koi tootein dil ka hisaab na lena ...
Sirf is tootein dil ki ek dua sun lena
Hummein kabhi tho yaad kar lena …. kabhi humari gali aa Lena

The Date

The Date

Growing up you are forced to learn the dates
Write in your notes book today’s date, , learn your birthdate and know each festive date

Then some dates turn into annual celebratory days - birthday , Independence Day, anniversary day
Before you know it, you get habituated to remember every new milestone date

But what do you do with dates that caused grief , loss and pain - An annual reminder of what life could have been if that day did not meet its fate

Am I to tribute it or talk about it or just toss it away as it was nothing
But it did mean something and changed everything you know even if you hate

How I wish society also provided a manual for such dates
When how courageous or such a brave face you put up since that day my mate

I can probably never put in words how conflicted it feels -
Knowing some grief will never really heal and an annual reminder that will always open a new flood gate !

Ishq

Ishq ab ho nahin payega
Akele rehne mein sukoon sa miltha hain
Móhhabat ki rahon par chalne se
Dil bahut gabratha hain

Fir bhi kyun aaj kal teri bahon mein kho jaane ka mann karta hain
Tere naam se hi ab mera dil dhadak tha hain
Tujhe har dua mein rakh kar hi
Khuda mujhpe meherban hota hain
