VILLAGE LIFE

The village we live
It is what we call granny’s place
Because we think we are to classic for the village,
Talk of the village and see one’s anger.

The village is where the goodness of the world resides
Everything worth for one to live
The food we eat in towns
The greatest fruits in towns reside in the village
Infact the village is better than the town

Offer me wine
Offer me bread
Offer me money
Offer me good houses and cars
And I leave the village.
But,
Let all the cars and houses,
Let all the riches perish,
I will know where my roots are,
The village.

The sweetness of the weather
The loveliness of the air
The unity of people.
All in the village.
Thus, I prefer village life.

LIVES FALL APART

Before we were working together
We were united
We worked together
We lived together
We ate on the same piece of bread.

There was nothing like racism,
There was nothing like racial discrimination,
There was nothing like segregation
There was nothing like tribalism,
But now that’s the way to go.

Where are our roots,
Where is the love for each other we had?
Where is the kindness we had?
Where are the beautiful creatures of God?
Those that treated each other with equality.

Please brothers and sisters,
Why do we separate ourselves?
As if we have not been together before,
But now we are no longer a whole,
We are pieces.
Lives fall apart.

LOST IN LOVE

I have no thoughts of anymore,
I am in a wilderness of thoughts,
I am green about where I am,
I don’t feel myself in place,
I can’t tell where I am.

This is because of you,
You who gave me love in abundance,
You who taught me the beauty of love,
I can’t see anyone else,
I see you.

Whenever I think about you,
I feel the heavens falling down,
And when you show me love,
I feel sitting on the right-hand side of Jesus,
Youi gave me the real definition of love.

The majority feel haunted,
But they have no say about this,
My ex-lovers wish to make U-turn,
But goods once sold are not returnable,
Am Sorry Am Taken.

MY FATHER

My father always by my side,
My father who decided my existence,
My father who ensured my goodness in my life,
My father who ensured wellbeing in my life.

What can I give my father?
He acres just like no one else,
Where I need rescue
He becomes a lion
When I need happiness,
He becomes as playful as a puppy

Is there anything that can reward a father,
Is there anything that deserves his love?
Is there anything that worth to be given to him
Think of cars, houses and other riches
Still they can’t reach his pay

But I got a payment to him,
I know what he deserves
Give him success in education,
Give him success in your life,
And he will be happy.
But above all pray for him.

MY PEACE IN YOU

I feel calm whenever am with you,
I feel sprouting whenever I come in your presence
I feel renewed whenever I sink in your presence
I felt changed when you told me,
That you love me.

Your provision overwhelms me,
Infact I run short of words
When I speak about your goodness and mercies.
You king of kings,
You lord of lords,
You are mighty to save.

Every minute I spend in your presence
I consider it a century in heaven,
Your love for me is supernatural,
Your love God gives me peace.
Your love is more than a mother’s love.

Dear lord how I wish I can live in your presence,
How I wish I can live with you lord
But when I think of the world you created,
I gain my confidence,
Because I know that when you call me,
I will still enjoy the eternity.

ALL ARE CHILDREN

Why don’t we show them love?
Why are we so rude?
Why don’t we treat them well?
Why don’t you show equality?
Why are they mistreated
Why! Yet it is your blood, red blood.

Is it because of their skin colour?
Is it because of their sexes?
Is it because of their background?
Is it because you were forced to do this job?
Is it because you are revenging?
You teachers who punished you.

Why do you give core punishment?
For the other
Do you even find time to talk to the other?
Why are the others rights not respected?
Yet they are all children.
All are children
They are the youngsters
The fathers of tomorrow
The school masters of tomorrow
But which image are you portraying
Should they also mistreat their male students like you do.
All are children.

I HATE YOU

You made cry,
You made me curse the day I was born,
You made me ask God to put my life at halt,
You made reduction of my days on earth,
Because of the gloomy face,
I hold all the time
I Hate You.

I don’t wish you any good,
I don’t even think you deserve anything good,
I don’t with death,
But I wish you hell,
I Hate you to the extent of hating your friends too.

There is no word of forgiveness,
You can tell me to change my attitude,
I just wish I never see you again,
how I wish you hide whenever you see me.

My Hatred for you,
Is equivalent to that of Eve to the snake,
You didn’t look at my ambitions,
You looked at my sorrows and failures.
I really hate you.

MY LOVE STILL AWAITS

Though you went far,
Far from where I can imagine,
Far from my heart,
Far from my community,
Not expecting you at any moment,
My love still awaits.

I know where you went is far,
Far beyond imagination
Far from near,
Where the lord suggested,
Where the lord hearts,
But my love still awaits.

Am sincere to your heart,
Because I know that you still know me,
And that6s why I will keep my love for you.
At any time, at any moment.
I know I will meet you again,
And with that my love still waits.

I am still waiting
I will still wait for you,
I will wait for the day,
I will kick the bucket,
An I will come and join you.
And I will show you my kindness and trustworthy
My love still awaits.

MUMMY CALLS YOU BURDEN

Mummy says you don’t deserve living,
She says you are wicked,
She says you don’t anything good,
She has never said good about you,
She spits fire as far as you are concerned,
She you burden

She says the day she met you,
She wasted her life,
She spread doom on herself,
She says that after if all,
You ran away.

She says that she is trying to forget you,
But it is hard,
Because you introduced to the world of adults,
Don’t bother to say sorry,
Because mere seeing you makes her curse the day.

Please let her press her wounds,
Let her caress her wounds,
To heal,
Don’t add salt to her wounds,
Mummy Calls You Burden.

I CAN

I can
I can do what they think I can’t
Though they what
Me I know
I can
Do what they cant.
Any way
I know
You also can.
