To the one I seek

I cannot write of love,
For I know nothing of it.
So I shall write of you
Did you know your head tilts when you listen to me?
Or when you’re anxious to get in a game you start to jump up and down?
When you are upset your eyes turn a darker blue,
And when you’re truly hurt they flood like dams.
Did you know when you smile, a real genuine smile, your eyes twinkle like stars.
You smirk like the Cheshire Cat and yet there is no malice in your glint.
You have changed my life.
You piss me off, hurt me, drive me insane, make me cry, and yet the worst you’ve done is steal my heart.
I’ve already said I know nothing of love,
This is true.
All I know is that I would burn the world for you.
I am nothing without you.
Friend, foe, lover, whatever the case I am yours should you want me.

Life As We Know It

My heart you have captured,
Now prepare for the rapture,
The second coming is at hand.
All the signs are there,
This is not meant to scare,
Ready to Make Your Last stand?
There is war in the east,
Yet the west seeks no peace,
The media was getting pretty bland.
The banks are all failing,
Children are wailing,
Why are you killing our land?
This is my final rhyme,
Before I run out of time,
The wire slits its own strand.

Falling suns

You’d think it’d be pretty,
To see a falling sun,
Yet here in the city,
It seems much less fun.
There’s nowhere to hide,
From the heat and the fire,
No oceans to find,
Only jobs looking to hire.
Yet the pay is atrocious,
And everyone is depressed,
The manager has halitosis,
And there’s civil unrest.
Justice is dead,
The courts have All said as such,
Maybe I should go to bed,
But we can't do that much.

Russian Roulette

Every human thinks they are immortal,
It is the wretched curse of all mortals,
It’s a constant game of Russian roulette.
Now if I was a smart betting woman,
I would wager all on meeting death,
But I am not a smart betting woman.
I am a child in love with playing god,
I live in the life unending facade.
I fear no evil not even death herself,
Hubris calls my name and spits on my grave,
vanity a siren distorts myself
the touch of danger is what I crave
I am the cursed mortal the gods fear,
I see the warnings yet do not adhere.

Venti Chai with Cold Foam

I went to Starbucks this morning,
it makes me sick with regret,
now my morals I am mourning,
And I hate the drink I get.
I want to be more punk,
Minimalist and spikes adorning,
so i ditched all my stuff,
but still get Starbucks, how boring.
I rant and I rave about how i hate the 1%
i say lower taxes and drop the inflation,
But i still get the chai with milk 2%
