Emotions collaborate and casades spill over,
Love become so addictive and causes nothing but hangovers.
Heart breaks take a toll on part of my life,
Promises left broken when men act strife.
Mentally you can't leave, phyically you try,
This lonely feeling is uneasy all it does is make you cry.
My eyes are bloodshot red from this emtional roller coaster ride,
Can't shake this feeling I'm so high.
John Legend sings of Love and Mariah sings of pain,
For Monica her storms over; man I gotta make a change.
Men can be deceiving the way they break your heart,
I use to believe in Love until you broke my heart.
Love is so unexplainable it leaves you so confused,
Mixed emotions get jumbled and your left singing the blues.
My train of thought sometimes stops before it even begins,
I wanna be with you so much can't see us as being friends.
In reality I need to get over you and try my best to move on,
Can't keep giving you my strength; I knew from jump that was wrong.
Relationships can be crazy full of it's twists and turns,
I know I must let go but sometimes my body yearns.
At night I can't sleep all I do is want you near,
Whenever were together somehow I conquer my fears.
Once I felt so safe you were by my side,
I try to hold back the tears but my heart still wants to cry.
Motionless I lay here to heartbroken to sleep,
I can't believe you have me stressing; man I fell to deep.

To love unselfishly is not an easy task,
It teaches us to form a bond of hope and helps a relationship to last.
On this special day I wish you all the joy that true love can bring,
Growing in a God fearing love that never ends.
Know that the essence of love is not what you think, do , or can provide,
But it's how much you give releasing all the love inside.
Know that to love means giving up money and energy for the benefit of someone else,
It's when you concentrate on another and forget about yourself.
Hard times will follow bringing pain with tears,
But when you lean on each other and have faith in God you learn to conquer your fears.
Stay strong in the Lord for He shall see you through,
Bringing out this love that feels to good to be true.
I pray God has sent you both to one another making love your greatest aim,
Forming a love so bold and strong that's worth more than material things.
May God continue to bless you both in these years to come,
Because in my heart you both are the lucky ones.

I look at my kids wondering why we gotta struggle,
I gotta get it together and find a new hustle.
My dream of being stable never seems close enough,
But I know I gotta make it through all this rough stuff.
My life I once had is too far to get back,
My mind constantly drifts no time to relax.
I can feel the fingers pointing saying,"She ain't bout it",
But I gotta stop this maddness regroup and go get it.
Depression can't play a part it can't beat me down,
Gotta make a change find foundation and hold my ground.
Show my daughter there's more to life than clubbing and turning tricks,
There's a life far better than drinking, smoking, and kicking it.
I've seen the world and traveled many places,
Seen positive people and alot of new faces.
I gotta make it back to that part of life and it's direction,
Don't wanna believe all there will ever be is diappointment and depression.
Gotta achieve my goals no matter how far away they seem,
Constanly talling myself to fulfill your dreams.
Life ain't easy being a single mother and black,
Can't let ignorance stand in the way and my grandma told me that.
I gotta get up and take control do whatever to succeed,
Know the difference between a want and a need.
Change for the better more importanly for the good,
Find a new hustle and get out the hood.
I just gotta make it!

I come to you Dear Lord for strength and for peace,
I ask that you be near me when it is black and bleak.
They say with you all things are possible and from you all blessings flow,
My heart knows it's true but sometimes I get things get real low.
Lately I've been discouraged left with frustration,
My mind has so much going through it there's nothing left but depression.
My heart cries for you Lord to guide me and help me through,
There's so many unanswered questions that leave me feeling blue.
I believe sometime this uneasy feeling will one day pass,
Giving me back that joy I found when I was on a straighter path.
