The Struggle

as night falls
and dark crawls
up to form an abyss
where every hand turns into a fist
and a small fight
turns into a struggle for life
to do what is right
or wait out for morning light
a cry in the night
sends a shiver of fright
through out the town
but they pretend there was never a sound

Just a Toy

How can I fix my broken heart
With all these pieces I don't know where to start
Lost all my tears
His infidelity confirming my worst fears
I was never enough
I wasn't all the stuff
He wanted me to be
So now I see
That I was just a toy
For him to destroy

Just Watch

Sit there and watch the wounds bleed
and see what happened to the seed
that you planted here
that caused the tear
that is rolling down my face
you cant take back what you said
and now my dreams are dead
with the love we had
how did things turn so bad

A Year

There's been tears
We've encountered our greatest fears
Holidays passed by
You being my best ally
We got stronger
As days got longer
Our family grew
And love was all we really knew
We had issue
Crying and used tissues
But we moved on
All distrust gone
We fall deeper everyday
Our past left to decay
Because nothing can take us apart
For we are of one heart

Allie

I love my sister
i would really miss her
if I had to leave home
and I would feel so alone
if we could not talk
or just take a walk
with each other
and hide under the cover
when there was a storm
or sit together to stay warm
she can be mean
or so it would seem
but she is everything it takes to make me smile
even just for awhile

His Name

My heart beats fast
wish the moment would last
everytime I say his name
I dont feel the same
I never knew love could be
this way
but day after day
I learn this is it
he's the one I have always wanted
but he's just out of reach
just like James and the Giant Peach
I need his smile to feel complete
the glow in his eyes so sweet
the way walks
the way he talks
but even though this is how i feel
i have to deal
but this love i must hide
the line i must ride
the life i decided

Quiet Cry

every night i lay down
and try not to make a sound
as i cry and try
to figure out why
why im crying
when hes not even caring
i have the dumbest fear
because hes not near
i hate and condone
being so alone

My Teddy Bear

So happy when I see your name
Ever since we met I haven't been the same
I thank God every day
For each time you say
You love me
It's everything I thought it would be
I'm not scared anymore
You're my life, the one I adore
And I knew
From the first time
You made me smile I'd make you mine
Your voice made my heart speed up
Like the running feet of a lion cub
Now I'm yours for good
Everything feels like it should
Your ring on my chain
Your words in my brain
And your love in my heart

Life

It's crazy
But we will make it baby
Through thick and thin
Best friends until the end

Dont Judge Me

if you are going to judge me
judge me for the now
not the past
and if youre going to cause a fight
make sure you can last
because I dont stop for love
because god above
knows its not enough
because times are rough
and im going to be me
and if you can't see
past my mistakes
then you have no right to take my dignity
because i still stand tall
even with my back against the wall
