Vladimir Peter-Powell Poem
I open my eyes to a dream-like paradise
An utopia my heart can't fathom
An abyss I wish to fall into
But now I get to watch it crumbling down
I get to watch my dream elude
To the mysteries of the stars
Like a rose planted in the moonlight
She faded into the sky
Even with the radiance of the moon shining so brightly
The shadow in my heart ran to the other side
Even at night
when the stars shine brightly
It still remained
For I am like a star
One of many

Vladimir Peter-Powell Poem
My eyes seek refuge
An escape from the ugliness
Towards the lulu that you are
An embodiment of beauty
Where empty hearts
Fill to the brim
A safe house for lost souls
A paradise, a place
I can call home`

Vladimir Peter-Powell Poem
My heart is like an open book
That only she can write in it
A journal difficult to open
More like a lock with no key
Yet she opened it easily
My heart never gathered courage
To tell her how I feel inside
Yet I have been in love with her
Before she knew me
My heart is like a dungeon
Holding my feelings hostage
Waiting to be discovered

Vladimir Peter-Powell Poem
I speak of imperfections
as if they are attached to my heart
Ashes of beauty
with a motley of infatuations

Vladimir Peter-Powell Poem
I am sorry, I am sorry
But sometimes my mind answers to my heart
If love makes a man foolish
What does that make me then
My heart aches from being in the same room with you,
I bite my tongue just to hold these feelings inside
But they say the chorus a poet bleeds
Lasts a lifetime
Why me? Why me?
This gut-wrenching, godforsaken feeling pierces my soul
My very being aches from this
You are so close, yet my feelings can't reach you
My infatuation for you is the song my soul never meant to sing
Hear these hibiscus hymns as I take them to my grave
Like a violin verse between venom and Venus
I picked mine and it was you.

To have and to hold
To yearn but never demand
A heart left waiting

Vladimir Peter-Powell Poem
When the sky misses the warm embrace of the sun
The moon comforts it with its quiet radiance
The memory seeps deep within
With eyes burning of limerence
The soul cries out to you, Cariño.
The smallest light shines the brightest in the darkest room
And that's where you found me
Your voice leaves an imprint of serenity
Soothing even the most turbulent times
You are no longer a distant memory but a canon event.
So listen to me,
When the sun goes down
And rises again in the morning
The last warmth and the first light
Reminds me of you
And that's how I want us to be
Walking this road
Saying goodbye bye hurts
Even when it's for a while.
If anything,
I want us to become
One with time
As nature compliments itself
So can we.
