Questions

Why do I need more?
If I don't will I survive?
Who am I to want?

Soul Fatigue

Let me fall asleep.
Wake me up the next morning.
Please just leave me be.

Try

I try to sit up
I can't lift my head.
I try to feel love
I can't if I'm dead.
I'll try to hold on
Just a little bit longer.
I'll try everyday
To be a little bit stronger.
At this point it's clear
I'm just too far gone.
I'll try to stay here
I'll try to move on.
I've tried and I've tried
I'm starting to get tired.
By now I should have died
And felt Hell's fire.
If I'm still on this plane
I guess I'm here for a reason.
I'll try to hide the pain
But I'll get worse every season.

Longing

As the most wonderful time of the year is approaching,
loved ones hold tight to each other with hope.
However there are those who are something like broken,
who knew how it felt before but forgot to take note.
All they remember is warmth like a fire
whose lips once embraced their cheek.
But after a while they seemed to get tired,
their feelings began to feel bleak.
If only they'd realized this feeling was grand,
they might have stopped walking away from that love.
But their hope, their life was built atop sand,
a foundation they would find just wasn't enough.

Getting better

The ceiling fan is looking as pleasant as ever
To tie a rope to it and hang there forever
Somebody told me that I would get better
But God doesn't see me or he hates me, whichever
I don't understand why you don't understand
I am who I am so don't give a damn
I'm sorry I told you to you're the source of my hurt
But I won't take it back cause I meant every word

Goodnight

Tell me, what's my name, my dear?
Who is it that you see?
You say if I need to talk you're here.
So friendly you can be.
You don't know that you break my heart
Every time you say a word.
The craft of pain, a careful art.
I deeply feel disturbed.
You don't mean to be all I want,
But still that's what you are.
Your love is like the perfect font,
Too high you've set the bar.

I love you, goodnight

Default

Reset my conscience
But you always stay the same
My default is you

Contentment

How dare I seek for validation
Longing for something more.
I only deserve my own damnation
Why do I need an open door.
Why would I ever need a toast
Who ever heard of me.
What do I even have to boast
What more could I really need.
They ask me "Why the cruel ambition?
Don't you have enough?
With your rags and pain and social division
What more do you want? Love?"

You're needed

I love you don't tell me you think you don't help
Don't think that you're useless it hurts me like Hell
I wish you could know that I need you to live
Don't forget about me I can't take the hit
Please don't think like I do like you're useless and dumb
You're flaws aren't like mine are, you don't have even one
So don't think that you're useless cause I need your help
I want you, I need you, I love you like Hell

A reminder for myself

Your feelings are irrelevant.
You don't need recognition.
It's easier to let it go
than make your joy a mission.
Put a stranger first
if it might heal a broken heart.
But never give yourself the chance
to let yourself restart.
