UNTITLED AND UNFINISHED

They call you a queen
Where is your crown?
They call you a hero
You've got no cape
They call you a beauty
How can you be called so when you are the beast
You are called a victor
When you have vanquished no one
They call you simple
God knows you are as complex as Einstein's riddle
They call you kind
Deep down you know you are a monster
They look up to you
Because you are sitting up high
On a throne above them made of their imagination
When you see yourself
Truly for who you are
Then you shall see I have just a line left

Cause and Effect

From the girl:
Mother used to always say
"All men are the same"
Whether you want, whether you may
They will always make you play their game

And then I met him

But then I asked him:
Why do you stand by the the river's bank
While the waves take me far away
Won't you mind and throw me that plank?
Is it too much to ask that you help and stay?

Won't you hold me tight, love and don't let go
When faced with a choice
It seemed all your promises were just for show
You let the tears run and my cheeks get moist

Over and over, I would still choose you
Again and again, you choose to hurt me
Was anything you said ever true?
You, you have messed up my reality

I hope you hurt forever
Peace may you never find

From the boy:
You misunderstand my actions
I don't mean to make you cry
Already, you have taken me as one without conscience
So why should I try

Then he said:
I don't wish you bad
I only wish you see yourself
The way He sees you
I only wish you see the beauty
I see
I only wish you see the wonderful person
The whole world sees you as
What we have, we give
I wish you nothing but self love
That you may one day give.

Redeeming Love

I have journeyed through life's rough terrains
I know what it is like to be in pains
From life's sour fruit I ate
While wondering what was my journey's fate

I saw him, he saw me
We both knew what was supposed to be
Sadly understanding was what we lacked
In my mind every pain caused was marked

I was so angry, where was he?
Was this how much he demanded for a fee?
If he didn't listen
Then my heart would harden

Why the pain, anger and tears?
Didn't he care about my fears
For every moment I spent lonely
I felt quite silly

Then came redeeming love
For the far-off, forsaken and gentle as a dove
To fix what was broken
To help the downtrodden

Now I see his face
But I still don't see my place
Doesn't mean I can forget
The shadows over me like a silhouette

All promises he made
To help now seem to fade
Dear father up high
Won't you help your little child?

SILHOUETTE

Somethings that are broken
Can never be fixed
If one breaks something
Many times it is better
It stays that way
Secrets of the old
Shadows of the past
Buried by lips shut tight in death
They say "Nothing is hidden forever"
I say somethings are better left hidden
Than brought to light
The shadow that never changes
I should know better than anyone else
What man doesn't understand
He calls the unknown
And what he calls the unknown
He fears
And what he fears, he hates
Lil sis dear
Give it a little thought and a tilt.
