Jessa Erandio Poem
If black wasn't a color, it would be a state of mind
That dark, anxious and depressive kind
Where there's no light seeping in
And hope is crushing from within
Black, where everything is dark
Black, where lights are losing their spark
It's when the world stops spinning
And the surge of thoughts keeps flowing
When you're tangled in the cobweb of lies
That the chaotic mind simply cannot disguise

Jessa Erandio Poem
I have a friend who's constantly there for me
when I needed to be alone,
when I wanted to express myself,
when the world and the people exhaust me,
when I Iet myself down,
when my hopes and dreams disappoint me,
and when I feel like giving up.
This friend always rescues me.
Some people tell me
that this friend is not a good influence,
it makes me question my sanity,
it leads me astray,
it keeps me locked away from everything
and it makes me unlove myself.
But I don't believe all of their lies
because darkness, is that one friend
who never leaves and who always got my back.

Jessa Erandio Poem
Can you imagine your life if you haven't met me?
It was a cold day in December when all of this started. You, being the silly you, asked me something out of the blue. It was a request that I couldn't refuse and unconsciously, the best "Yes" that I have ever given.
From then, we embarked on a beautiful journey to brave the waters of love and the dance of destiny. We are soulmates, I know that for sure because I've never felt my soul in sync with anyone else. Oh how I really wish to be one with you. You are the embodiment of all the poetry that I write. My muse, my inspiration, my heart's companion. Oh, to merge my soul with you is like how the skies merge with the shore at sunset. Delicate, beautiful and dark. I don't need anything else to live, I just need you, my everything.
In this waltz of four left feet, there's music and harmony. But sadly, the rhythm is messy. We live in a different tempo and this forbidden dance makes it hard to let go.

Jessa Erandio Poem
The aroma of the coffee
as I take a sip,
reminds me of how we met
There, in the counter
as the barista called my name,
which happened to be yours too
What a game fate was playing!
Same name, same order
What are the odds?
You were thoughtful enough
to give that
first cup of cappuccino
to me
And I returned your kindness
with my sweetest smile
Right there and then,
I knew,
it was love at first sight
As I smiled, my heart also beat fast
I came back to my seat
but my eyes are still stuck on you
"Sit with me, pretty please?"
I asked wishfully
Then, it’s as if the heavens heard my plea
Suddenly, you are walking towards me
Asking if you can sit with me
It all started with coffee
and the rest is history
Months have passed
since our first coffee encounter
turned to something a lot like love
Now, I still can't believe you're mine
and as I sip this coffee
with you in front of me,
I can't help but thank that "First cappuccino"
which brought me someone as precious as you.
