A Man Named Brian

There was a self pinky swear that I couldn't forget,
"Enough of looking for a boyfriend after my 30th."
And that pinky swear has been obeyed,
Though I always seek for someone to be with.

Relationships went wrong,
Nobody gave me peace like home.
So then I stopped searching,
I let my heart rest from any breaking.

And when I decided to only wait for the one,
There's this man who came named Brian.
I wasn't looking for love when I knew him,
But love found me and my heart gave in.

I know and he knows that he's not my first,
But yes, he came before I reach my thirtieth.
He loves me and accepts me for who I am,
He's a perfect picture of my dream man.

Sometimes I ask myself if I really deserve him,
For he is too good to be true like I'm just dreaming.
But when he said; "For all the struggles that you've been through, you really deserve to be loved."
That's when I knew that he's the man that I never had.

I finally found someone who feels like home,
My heart is at peace and my life is at its bloom.
No words can express how happy and loved I am,
When I met and fell in love with this man named Brian.

I love the way he utters my name,
It's like music to my ears when he calls me "Jen."
I also love the way he talks,
It is so good just like his looks.

I love his lips especially when he smiles,
I love the way he looks at me with those pretty blue eyes.
But beyond the physical appearance of this man,
His character is what I really love about Brian.

He accepts me in his life with no hesitations,
He loves my flaws and my imperfections.
All he wants is just to see me being happy,
That makes me fall for him more each and every day.

Showing his love for me is very consistent,
The kind of love that I really dreamt.
He knows how many heartaches I had,
And I like the way he handles my heart with tender love.

He is the kind of man that I've been looking for,
A man who healed me and became my cure.
He knows how to handle me on my worst days,
He makes me smile when I'm about to frown at my face.

Brian is the kind of man with respect,
I love it when he considers my opinion in all decisions that he will make.
But there's one thing that I really love about Brian,
And that is when he includes me in his every plan.

Dear Future Husband

Someday we will be in that place,
Where we can say our vows and promises.
Family, friends and the whole world will witness,
As we both say "yes" with that magical kiss.

Someday I will be walking on that aisle,
Wearing a white gown with a beautiful smile.
Looking at you without a blink of an eye,
It will be a great day that will surely make us cry.

Someday we will be going to stay,
In one house where we can start our journey.
We will be filled with laughter from our baby,
The fruit of our love as what they say.

Someday we will be going to fight,
About those stuffs that will give us sleepless night.
Our love for each other must be strong and tight,
'Cause for every darkness there is always a light.

Someday we might meet temptation,
Bear in mind to be loyal and faithful to our relation.
So that our family will not be in commotion,
Staying together for life will be our greatest mission.

Someday our ages will get old,
We will serve as blanket to each other when one feels cold.
Our love story will be the greatest story which is never been told,
We will prove to them that forever exists as they never called.

The Moon

How beautiful it is,
To watch you up there.
Glowing so bright,
As the sky's getting darker.

Can you see me, too?
Am I as beautiful as you?
Do I also glow?
I just really hope so.

You're the light in my darkness,
Up there is your best place.
You're my friend whom I can't talk to,
I feel comforted by staring at you.

Whatever you are,
Crescent or full,
Together with the stars,
You are so beautiful!

My Love

Wherever I look,
I see you there.
Every time I walk,
I love you more, my dear.

When I travel down the road,
I always take you with me.
You're in my heart on board,
And in my mind everyday.

Yes we are miles apart,
But that's not a problem.
We have each other from the start,
Together until at the end.

Busy days are coming,
And trust should stay.
There'll be a day without talking,
But never go astray.

Days have passed,
Memories are made.
My love last,
Feelings never fade.

But I must admit,
I am so scared.
If you couldn't wait,
Heart will be shattered.

Believe me when I say,
I do trust you.
I love you more each day,
Through high and low.

I promise you my love,
That is so true.
You have me from the start,
I will never go.

Unrequited Love

"Hello" was the first word you utter,
'Twas the day when we started getting to know each other.
But one day I heard you saying "I really like her,"
And I was secretly wishing that I was the girl.

You were very kind and so trustworthy,
You made a lot of effort to make me happy.
You were like a hero in a story,
You made my heart flutter every time you were with me.

And then one time you told me you had a surprise,
I was so excited but I was in disguise.
You even told me to close my eyes,
You were with someone and it was too late for me to realize.

I smiled and acted like nothing was wrong,
'Twas called putting my pain aside and being strong.
I was loving you so much for so long,
And I thought you loved me too like your favorite song.

Maybe it was right to put the blame on me,
I fell in love with you and I assumed totally.
I wanted to cry and to run so far away,
When the truth hit me that there was never you and me.

My Son, Skyler Jay Betatche

Sun shines and so are you,
Keep smiling like you always do.
You're worth the pain that I've been through,
Like a treasure that is so true.
Entrust in me your life and future,
Rest assured you'll be secure.

Just grow with respect and fear of God,
Always remember to trust the One above,
You're blessed with Him and forever loved.

Be patient and understanding in all situation,
Everything happens for a certain reason.
Talk humbly and honestly towards a person,
Admit and apologize when you are wrong.
Think positive with no commotion,
'Cause every problem has always a solution.
Hail to the Lord, He gave me a son like you,
Even people leave you behind, I'll never go.

Me and My Stupidity

Everyday I wake up,
Looking for a new start.
Hoping that I still have a part,
Right there in your heart.

I was so lucky to have you,
But then I let my chance blow.
And now I'm hoping I can undo,
All those bad things I've done to you.

I'm sorry for the things I did,
For wrong decisions that I made.
Sorry for all the mistakes I've committed,
How I wish it will be all forgotten with just one good deed.

Sincerely I'm saying sorry,
I'm saying this wholeheartedly.
If there's one thing you can blame someday,
That's me and my stupidity.

I know it's not easy to do,
Forgetting things which hurt you.
But then I won't let my hopes go,
That one day you'll forget and forgive me too.

Rainbow

Remember this phrase as always my friend,
After the rain there is a rainbow at the end.
In every darkness there will be a light,
No negativity and yes to positive sight.
Be brave because you are not alone,
Overcome your fears and stand strong,
Win your battles even you're on your own.

Never Give Up

I used to sleep at night,
Feeling so down while hugging my pillow very tight.
I couldn't help myself but to cry,
I didn't know what to do so I just let out a sigh.

I used to ask myself,
"Where can I be at peace?"
I was so in with this belief,
That being loved by someone gives you happiness.

Then after so many sleepless nights,
There's one thing that I realized.
Peace and happiness don't depend on another person,
I just have to love myself first then great things will come on.

So then I started standing on my own,
Fighting with my battles even though I'm alone.
I finally saw the beauty of life that was so bright,
Replaced the darkness that before was all over my sight.

I am so glad that I didn't give up,
Now I know where my peace is at.
But it's not only peace and happiness that I have found,
I also found God, the One who picked me up when I was so down.

And when I thought that I was alone,
He was there with me all along.
With Him, I feel so blessed and loved,
Giving up is not an option for I have God.

There's More To Life Than Your Fear

A lot of things I want to try,
But the fear in my heart I can't deny.
I'm scared of failure that's what I know,
I don't want to disappoint those people who believe that I can do.

And then I meet a person one day,
She's one of a kind and totally opposite of me.
She doesn't care what will people say,
Because for her; "No matter what you do, only your wrong doings which people can see."

There's one thing about her that I can't forget,
When she said; "In every mistake there's a lesson that you can get."
"Don't be afraid to fail. Don't be scared to go beyond your limits."
Because for her; "Failure is a part of success."

So then I tried to go out from my comfort zone,
I started to do the things beyond my limitation.
And then one time I came to a realization,
That there's more to life than the fear that I've known.

So yes, the woman I've met was also me,
The woman inside me that before I didn't see.
Now let me thank the One above, our Almighty,
For He loves me and never leaves me until today.
