Finding Your Heart

Drifting slowly as time slips away like a dog spinning faster and faster but never catching it's tail.
I have been here before floating in this sea of uneasiness, clouded by confusion and lack of self worth.
Whispers of things that could be lazily cling to the edge of what in my own mind seem out of reach.
I have pushed limits, seen, felt, and done things most would deem unrealistic. Yet still the whisper, It calls to me, body not what it once was, mind clouded and doubted by thoughts I can't understand. But still.... who am I?
Some say it takes a life time to figure that out.
Not sure I have that long, who knows. What's does the song on breeze sing to you? I give, I love, and those whispers words barely audible yet pulling at the fiber of my being. Who are you? I am a warrior, bound by honor, family, yet I never look for a fight, I protect, I defend, I love...

Together

A Valentine’s Day poem

You are like a beautiful story to me each page I turn the more I want to read, hard to put down I’m always enthralled, the next chapter comes, and this story, I never want to put down, comes to a place where it’s my chance to write and add to our beautiful life. I know it’s my favorite tale of all time, a Never-ending book full of love and hope, we will write the rest together this I know. And where it ends I have no concern, it’s the pages in between I’m more than happy to turn.

Angel

Have you ever seen an Angel fall from the sky? Like a shooting star, brighter than day on the darkest night, a beautiful glow than that stilled as it made its flight… And yet still, have you ever seen an Angel fall from the sky? If you had would want to know why? This Angel tucked her wings for the greater good never being seen the way that she should, to raise children, to laugh to live to love, and even though on the most joyous days you would swear she could glow, and in the saddest moments her heart was all you could know, and in every step by her side felt effortlessly, my wife my bride my life my love my queen My Angel yet Angel unseen… and on the day that day I took my last breathe, her hand in mine as we both wept, her wings unfolded and opened wide and “together” she said to our next life… so you see there just may be an Angel among you, a souls other part, so don’t look up to the sky, your angel may already be right there by your side…
