Christina Moore Poem
From cleaning their bottoms and feeding them bottles,
From dressing them in diapers and burping their backs,
From calming their needs and giving them love,
My babies are growing up so fast.
I watch them run on out the door,
To catch the bus for school, like they're such "big kids"
I see each day go by, and I can't stop it,
My babies are growing up so fast.
They have new friends, they don't need me,
They know what they're doing, I'm just there to help,
Sometimes, I can't even do that,
My babies are growing up so fast.
I look at their pictures from a long time ago,
It draws a tear to my eye as I realize time isn't slow,
I want to just hold them in my arms, but I know,
My babies are growing up too fast.
