Parizad Gaur Poem
I heard myself speaking in the midst of the quietest crowd,
it's like jingling car keys, swinging on the holder,
running feets on the marathon ground
Acapella harmonies, moving in the music room,
jolting piano notes from one to two,
two to three,
I heard myself speaking,
like splashing waters
slapping the gigantic whales
waves coming in and out,
but then, somebody snapped a finger;
and I, never spoke again...

Parizad Gaur Poem
Like raindrops glued to the car's window,
like platters of water on the road remain,
as shallow as to stand with pain under the mud,
we stand here, trying to reach for something,
like cactus roots reaching down to hell,
there's deepness buried down the ground,
with hands reaching for heaven,
so long, so long....

Parizad Gaur Poem
The sun seems so angry,
but are you angry too?
are you insane like sun?
or are you like the moon?
sitting brightly in a dim place?
tell me, are you like the Earth
being used everyday?
having loads of thoughts and images
of people running through the neurons
of your brain
who are you really?
Tell me
