Drowning In Your Desert of Lies

Tell me all about her
Is she beautiful?
Is she simple in her complex way?
Is she all you want and need?
Is she your everything?
Tell me is she beautiful?

Is she that pretty picture in your mind?
The one with whom you spend your time?
I bet she’s perfect
Is she the sun, the moon, the night, the day?
Is she the dream you wish would never go away?
Tell me is she beautiful?

Tell me is she special?
Is she perfect in her imperfections?
Is she fragile like a rose?
But yet so unbreakable
Tell me is she beautiful?

Is she the reason you can’t hide
The smile that’s stretched from eye to eye?
I bet you love her
Is the one who holds your heart?
The one who lies within your arms?
I bet she’s wonderful

Tell me am I beautiful?
Am I strong in my weak-hearted way?
Tell me that I’m worth it
If I fall on my knees and cry
Will you stay?

Smile.

By my side,
walking hand in hand
through a field
of rainbows
and bumblebees
and sunshine.
Happiness,
once lost far in the distance,
is so close
I can feel it,
touch it,
taste it.
Within my reach, finally.
Stretch.
At last,
happiness is within my grasp.
:)

My Olive Branch

A dove
bringing
hope
to all
A love
to catch you
when you fall

Keep Your Head Held High

I see you walking through the halls at school
You used to look so put together
but now, not so much
I've heard rumors
and nasty words,
but I don't really pay attention
I only know you now have a baby boy
and I know you're proud of him
You are not ashamed.
For a while you weren't around
You had to be at home taking care of Baby
Your boyfriend is still loyal
So many these days aren't.
You're one of the lucky ones
Your parents didn't disown you
they may be disappointed
but they still love you.
You must be tired, staying up all night,
taking care of Baby.
It must be hard
dealing with the stares from your peers
I know I couldn't do it.
I'm not that strong.
You have to keep holding on
and make a good home for Baby
Maybe Baby will make you proud
and you won't regret this one day.
You're not the only one
You're one of millions
Don't listen to the harsh words.
Stay strong gorgeous,
Because everyone's just waiting
to see you fall apart.

Persistence

Here I stand on shaking ground
The lion pounces,
knocks me down
Up from the ground
I stand, and then
the lion knocks me down again.

Filth

Do you have no morals?
You'd do anything for satisfaction
At the drop of a hat, you're on your knees.
All you want is a fix.
Or maybe you're after something physical
Most would classify you as a whore,
you and your accomplice.
But I know better than that
You're nothing but a disappointment to the human race
All of you
You're all the same
You're only as good as the tasks in which you partake.
He tells you he loves you,
but only when you perform his dirty deeds.
That's not love, sweetheart.
He's using you to get what he wants
He knows you'll give it to him, too.
You're easy.
You're weak.
And I can see where you're headed
You're just going to end up brokenhearted.
He'll find someone else, you know he can.
Don't let him ruin you
Don't be his slave.
You're better than that.
You're better than that, and you know it.

Waffles

Black,
and blue
The color of the bruises on
my heart,
my soul,
my ego,
not to be confused with a waffle
Lies
But how can I miss
what was not even mine

Wasted Words

On tiptoe
or on bended knee
Here with you,
or there with me
Silence tasted
takes its toll
Love, wasted,
on the troll

Growth

Like a hurricane,
the world spins on its axis,
around and around.
Never ceases.
And I,
I see the beauty
in your soul.
Trying to escape,
like a seedling
trying to see the sun.
Show the world
your true self,
and there I'll be
waiting
with open arms
to welcome you in, dry your tears.
My darling,
Share that beauty with the world.
Teach it how to feel.

Graveyard On Two Feet.

She walks alone
down a busy street
Fear painted on her face,
and blisters on her feet

Car horns are honking
People bustle by,
Not seeing the brokenness
of the girl at the traffic light

but they wonder why...
but they wonder why...

Such a beautiful girl
is alone in this world
No one to pick her up
when she's down
No one standing by her side

When you look in her eyes
you see the fear that's inside
her walls come tumbling down
but you'll never get the chance to see her cry
