Artificial Intellegance

As the world moves to artificial intelligence,
Please remember human independence.

AI can be a small part of all of a machine,
But to make it really useful it needs a human in between.

AI can work long hours without ever taking a break,
But humans keep it honest then nothing is seen as a fake.

So let's use the best of both worlds,
For the best of all mankind,
Then things might be better and cheaper and anything else that you might find.

The Game

The whistle goes and the crowd roars,
I hope that my team is the first to score.

Everyone has a song to sing,
As the ball flashes past to our man on the wing.

How can the players run so fast,
Adn to keep on running until the last.

From a throw in you can almost touch your favourite,
But he is concetrating and won't notice even a little bit.

Then the number 10 steals a yard,
He strikes the ball so sweet and so hard,
Right into the top corner where you can see the net ripple.

There's a sudden pause then the crowd all cheer, the players hug and they go flying by,
The emotions so strong I have seen grown men cry!

Fly Fishing

There's a dull ache in my casting arm,
But I can't complain everything is still and calm.

I just have to try and try,
To make sure I use the right fly.

There are so many to choose from either dry or wet,
I am going for dry which seems the best bet.

The one I choose I tied myself,
You won't find another on any shop shelf.

It's shiny and green,
And is bound to be seen.

I wind in all of the slack,
Then I cast the fly back.

To the spot I saw the water swirl,
And I thought I saw a big tail curl.

My aim is spot on,
And in an instance the fly has gone.

In an explosion of foam,
At last a trout of my own.

In the sparking shower of green, silver blue,
At last my hopes have come true.

I am content now just the water and me,
And a lovely fresh trout to take home for my tea.

Teenager

Daniel is 14, outside it's frosty and freezing cold,

He won't wear a coat, he says he is fine and he feels quite warm,

I guess when I sit back and think when I was his age, I thought the same, I guess I am just getting old,

We just need to leave him alone, to wear what he wants, all black and cold,

Then all we can do is have somewhere warm for him to come too,

And to make sure he knows that we love him,

We really DO.

Skint, Brassic, Stoney Broke

I am just an ordinary bloke,
I work quite hard, but I never seem to gain a yard,
Which way do I need to turn,
How come other people have money to burn,
I don't really want that much,
Just enough to live with a little to spare,
I don't have designer clothes to wear,
Just some worn out jeans and some 'T' shirts that are a bit threadbare,
But I just need to feel, relaxed and good,
So perhaps I should--
JUST ROB A BANK!!!

Dispatch To Driver

Monday- Mind those that are walking and who concentrate on talking.

Tuesday- Watch those that are cycling, they avoid puddles to try and keep their bike clean.

Wednesday- Look for those that are running, some of them do look quite stunning.

Thursday- Beware of those that are scooting, they go quite fast no matter what their route is.

Friday- The same as every day gone past, the one special rule, is make sure you get them all safely to school.

Barbers Old and Young

I took my son to the barbers today, and I sat there and I thought about how it compared to when I was small,

All of the equipment is battery driven, but way back when it was scissors that were usually blunt,

The seat for a child was a plank of wood, but now they have a comfortable seat to make them feel good.

They asked my son about his style, but a long time ago it was just short back and sides.

The tools they use today seems to be all throw away as I look around the shop,
but a long time ago they were sharpened on a long leather strop.

My son got to choose who cut his hair, he chose Rosa, but I had only one choice, old Bob Fenner and I am absolutely certain he charged less than a tenner!

Long Summers Day

The watery sun lifts up in the sky,
Water gently glimmers with small breeze formed waves,
Birds start to twitter as they get ready to fly,
Animals start the search for the food that they crave,
The sky is such a startling blue,
As the day goes on the sun slowly rises,
And in the shade there are shadowy hues,
All nature is busy, the graceful swans seem the wisest,
The day slowly gets hotter and I head for more shade,
When the days at its hottest everything is totally quite and still,
But we all are hoping this day does not fade,
When the sun starts its slow drift toward the far distant hill,
As it reaches it's last moment insects skim the water looking like small puffs of steam,
Then a fish breaks the water, was this day just a dream.

Entertainment

Postman Pat and Fireman Sam,
Ballamory and Desperate Dan,
Thomas the Tank and Winnie the Pooh.

Hours of fun that entertain you.

Bob the Builder and Rolly Mo,
Rosie and Jim as they come and go
Georgie Shrinks and Tigger too.

These are the favourites that entertain you.

Little Red Tractor and Fifi Flower,
Dora the Explorer and the Troll that glowers,
Swiper the Fox and Lions in a zoo.

These are the things that entertain you.

What Faith

Jewish, Hindu, ,Catholic, C of E,
Muslim, Pagan, Sikh, which should I be.

If it's a matter of faith I don't really care,
It's whichever brings me comfort as I sit in my chair.

All of them aim to do nothing but good,
So I'll take a mixture and just live as I should.
