Dilshan Singh Sandhu Poem
From the creation to the end
From a speck in the gloomy and taciturn void of space
First came sand then ready reigned rain
Creatures roam the Earth with no name or race
Every creature lived and roamed, no efface
Titanic and verdant mountains rose over the desolate plain,
They hustled through the rubble and trouble just to gnaw
They struggled with the muscle and knuckle to live raw,
Brothers! The end is nigh near
You won’t wake up one day
The clutches of the machine I fear
Your phone took your world, oh so dear
Technology bites us just like a tiger biting its prey,
The phones shall kill us and gawk with transfix
The moans shall chill us and knock with hiss.

Dilshan Singh Sandhu Poem
They are incantations,
holders of truth and lie,
they can be imprecations for bad or sly,
they are hammers that forge our lives,
implements which are sharp as knives,
mastering them may seem nigh,
one may think he is adroit in this art,
or it may be a mere start,
Here no element is a titular part,
some might think of them as banal,
in the world of today they are crucial,
oh so don't you belittle,
lot to learn in this field of imagination,
they are salient to the way of education,
They may be a boon or an imprecation,

Dilshan Singh Sandhu Poem
Thunder god
Oh, thunder god might be the harbinger of an eddy,
He is a potent striker and a deity,
Yet his mind bores him with the power which is at the ready,
You may think he has a lot of power,
Though his dejection is that by a sneeze he may raze a tower,
He just wants to watch and smell a flower,
He is considered a monster and blight,
Sailors are scared of his thunder’s sight,
Little do they know he wants a buddy who can hold him tight,
He may be very potent and active,
I am afraid we are wrong as we see a different perspective,
He cries and causes storms because our views are radioactive,
He is humane and full of clemency,
Oh, brothers but his surly nature is the only thing we can see!

Dilshan Singh Sandhu Poem
This reptile leaves without a trace,
it is a sign of betrayal and disgrace,
it catches its prey with grace,
Don't you take them as merely or fake,
Medusa's thirst for blood they slake,
Oh the great snake
Oh the great snake
The caustic substance they release,
Known to lay many decease,
If you agitate your life they shall cease,
Known to be found in many lakes,
They can even fight Nathan Drake,
Oh the great snake
Oh the great snake
They are an arrow in nature's quiver,
Their bewhiching body is like a river,
This beast can impair your liver,
Killing it might seem easy as cake,
Don't try it or your life they shall take,
Oh the great snake
Oh the great snake

Dilshan Singh Sandhu Poem
The land was desolate and parched
Only sinuos marks of rivers which ran
No water found by men who searched
Rivers were squandered away by man
Sky ran obscured asunder and ablaze
Sly man would plunder and raze
Taps were left running all day
Too late to be leery of the loss at hand
A loss which man thought was at bay
Sadly Gone were the days of a beautiful land
Gone were the daisys swaying in lukewarm zephyrs
Gone were the meadows of glistening green grass
Gone were the branching boughs of titanic trees
Gone were the beauties of nature
Gone due to man
Gone due to his pride
Gone due to his ignorance
Gone due to his thirst
