Lindy Montgomery Poem
Valentines may come and go
The love that lingers and shines
To the contentness which won't die
Blankets hearts of loneliness.
Today was yesterday
As dark is never really gone
Through the eyes of believers
Who will come out strong?
Valentines is not love
For love masquerades into tomorrows
Skies falls, blanketed hearts bleed
As painted valentines shines fiction
The mind searches for belief.

Lindy Montgomery Poem
I don't believe in happiness,
angels masquerading
dressed in makeup
speaking words only
a wounded heart hears,
speaking dreams
only a fool would concede.
I don't believe in love,
so many dead end roads
so many empty promises
so many angels with plastic faces.
I don't believe in blue skies
and beautiful green grasses,
for there are no guarantees
or no authentic deity
just a broken soul on bended knees
yelling to a plastic image
begging for release.
So therefore, I don't believe.
