Stand Alone To Stand Out

When a beautiful Mercedes car breaks into a run just for show, its show of speed leaves turbulence in its wake.

When it shows up among its fellows, they feel a compelling need to go for a break.

Never to be called average, it conjures a sphere of class around itself, then stands alone.

A car looking too good to be true, you need not bother for a clone.

Oh, how often many of us merge with the crowd, scared to stand alone.

Joining bandwagons at every bus-stops of life, feeling fly and 'forming' woke.

Future feels disappointed; many are comfortable in shadows, too many sleeping on queues.

Another day is here. Future awaits the emergence of the real you.

Like a beautiful mercedes kicking back dust, leave turbulence of achievements in your wake as you go about paying your dues.

Learn From the Greens

Out here in the womb of the wild, every creature knows its place.

Nature brooks no mistaken identity. Surely, everybody knows his suitcase.

There's no competition between trees and grass in nature; neither jumps down the other's throat.

Neither boasts of a top spot in the hierarchy of creation; neither takes the other's boat.

Both share a green identity; both are kitchens through which nature cares for her own.

Both share a common enemy; both sigh and groan when man's meddling takes its toll.

With this much similarities between these two greens, little wonder they live in peace.

Little wonder a forest radiates a sense of harmony and a feeling of bliss.

Well, man is a creature of reasoning. Surely he can learn a thing or three.

Made of one blood, according to the Holy Book, man shouldn't pursue harmony like it's out of reach.

Man shouldn't be divided over nature's resources like broom sticks scattered to pieces and cast to the wind...

Man is a creature of reasoning, no doubt. But is he ready to learn a thing or three?

The Onlooker

She watches the world go by.

Like Mama's soothing lullaby.

When lullaby delivers its goods; Mama's baby smiles.

Baby draws teddy closer; teddy dissolves into a smile.

Mama looks at her sleeping child; Mama dissolves into a smile.

The whole family is all smiles; time continues to go by.

But this is not the case for the pretty onlooker.

Her lamp is flickering; her fire is going out.

Still, she continues to watch as the world goes by.

The world is not mean. But the world is not so kind.

The world fails to see the reality beyond its round nose.

It fails to see a feisty soul losing her grip on life.

The world goes blind; oh, the spotlight is too bright.

No wonder it fails to see a woman fighting not to cry.

Eyes fill with tears; bile rises from deep inside.

Tears move down her cheeks, leaving their footprints behind.

If only someone could take her hand, and tell her it's gonna be fine.

If only a handsome stranger could say to her, "Never have I seen a sad face so fine.'

Then she would know her odds are good no matter the roll of the dice.

Then the world going by would no longer seem so bad...
