That Bird Outside My Window

I sit and I wonder.
I wonder and I sit.
Moments dance together,
not worrying where they fit.

Each of my thoughts hug me one by one,
As I stare out at the smiling sun.
A bird sits outside my window free,
And sings a perfect song meant to be.

I think and I stop.
I stop and I think.
Some worries follow like a
shadow about to shrink.

A tree waves it’s branches strong and true,
Standing tall with stories old and new.
Feathers hide his soul about to fly.
Sky is grey with clouds ready to cry.

I dream and I sleep.
I sleep and I dream.
Life is full of laughter, hidden tears,
and silent screams.

I sit on a bench with a dear friend,
Sun winks bye, another day does end.
I reach to catch one lonely, falling star.
Sky full of stars does not seem too far.

I walk and I talk.
I talk and I walk.
Time stops and stands still like a
faceless, silent clock.

Laughter fills the air one afternoon.
Children chase and watch a gazing moon.
Waves crash the shore and dance into our mind.
Footprints journey through sand of time to see what they can find.

I love and I listen.
I listen and I love.
Away flies perfect peace of broken
wings of a dove.

People sit and share their deepest thought.
Crowds invade to see what can be bought.
Butterfly flutters the horizon of a vision.
We forget the caterpillar, it’s struggle and its mission.

I am awake and I hug.
I hug and I am awake.
Blindness of the heart can’t separate what’s true, what’s fake.
Never take for granted holding hands with a child,
Or bouquets picked for you so colorful and so wild.
Listen to stories the old man has told before.
Fill your heart with compassion,
Never close that door.

Each sunset ends a day.
Each star fills up the sky.
Each footstep leads a way.
Each dream learns how to fly.
That bird outside my window full of feathers warm and grey,
That bird outside my window sings a song for me today.

The World Outside My Window

I look out my window with timeless clouds passing by.
I see a tree full of birds that sing and freely fly.
World is fighting an enemy, spinning round and round.
Life is fragile like a bird egg fallen to the ground.
World look out their windows asking:Will this ever end?!!
Thinking of precious moments with family and a friend…

Sitting in a park watching sun kiss the day goodbye,
Swimming in the sea and building castles to the sky.
Chatting over coffee;giggling about whatever.
Going for a long walk in any kind of weather.
Wiping tears of a student who fell and bumped their head.
A story filled with dragon secrets a teacher read.

Kicking a football towards an empty blue, blue sky.
Chasing butterfly moments not knowing reasons why.
Grandma visits and gives 1000 hugs or more.
Beach picnics:ocean waves that sing a lullaby roar.
Going to a store to spend some money and some time.
Watching planes zoom through skies like a perfect travelling rhyme.

Angels working hard through many days and nights.
Trying to battle through all the wrongs and the rights.
Never take for granted each whisper, a smile or tear.
Moments turn to memories like a gift to hold dear.
Our world spinning round and round will never be the same;
But politicians will keep playing the same old game.

Eyes have opened wide staring out at the empty street.
Again,to be filled with tiny and big dancing feet.
Hearts are heavy losing souls taken too soon.
Day to night healing will come like the light of the moon.
We stop and we wrap our arms around the question:“Why?”
We look outside our windows as days are passing by.

We look out our window and wonder when this will end.
We stare at the pink sky without a loved one or a friend.
One day we will hear a “Knock, Knock” on our door and a smile will fill our face with pleasure.
The whole world is waking and shaking up as we fight this fight on this earth together.
World is fighting an enemy.
Spinning round and round.
Life is fragile like a bird egg fallen to the ground.
I look out my window with timeless clouds passing by.
I see a tree full of birds that sing and freely fly.

Humps of Camels Upside Down

The sky turns grey and a bird sings a song.
Sun is hiding truth and lies;right and wrong.
Clouds drift into shapes imagination does create.
A butterfly smiles knowing the caterpillar’s fate.
The branches of a tall tree wave goodbye.
A nest feels safe for the bird learning to fly.
Moments unwrapped like a gift to treasure forever.
Loved ones are a blessing and all the times together.
Round and round the merry-go-round we go.
Darkness...we wait for a new day to show.
Little girl giggles as her pink bubblegum is blown.
An old man walks slowly towards sparkling hope unknown.
At the beach the waves roar a lullaby,
Sandcastle of dreams built strong to the sky.
Once upon a time in a field of dreams and stories,
Past and present creations of both pain and glories.
Night turns to day and day turns to the night,
Shadows tiptoe to and away from light.
Some smiles on faces are suddenly upside-down frowns.
Life can be a masquerade of some uncertain clowns.
Gift unwrapped with ribbons yellow and pink.
Gallery of paintings that make you think.
Holding hands watching cotton clouds drift across the sky.
Sitting on a red bench thinking many questions why.
Footprints in sand oozing between my toes.
Snowman created and nowhere to go.
Humps on a camel traveling amongst the desert sand.
Sand dunes caress sky of a forever searching land.
A baby is born to live on this earth.
Waving bye; death becomes memory’s birth.
Bouquet of daisies on a table covered with lace.
Children roll down a hill full of laughter as they race.
Tick tock the time on this earth stands still.
Tick tock another year waiting to fill.
Ups and downs;roller coaster ride of life to explore.
Sunset, sunrise-each starry night never seen before.
Caterpillar crawls against the very cold, cruel ground.
Soon to realize that butterfly moments will be found.
Listen to the world’s silent screams.
Dare to cradle hopes and sweet dreams.
I stand still and I see a bird dance across the sky.
I close my eyes and I see hope with wings that will fly.
Yesterday and today walk together hand in hand.
There is a shadow of light and darkness in this land.

Tree In a Field

Stretching arms up to the sky,
Sun caresses words that lie.
Wind dances through field of gold,
Stories whisper thoughts untold.

Dreams caught through spider web maze,
Thoughts blinded by mirage gaze.
Sun smiles secrets and glistens,
Sky comforts while earth listens.

Round and round the world does turn,
Lessons to live and to learn.
Whispers stop and tree stands still,
Bird Song for a heart to fill.

Bird flies and tree stands alone,
Shadows hide beneath a stone.
A feather drops to the ground,
What is lost can soon be found.

Sun winks and clouds drift away,
Moon bright and stars want to play.
Past lullabies start to weep,
Hand of time travels too deep.

The tree hugs itself to dreams,
Silhouette misses sunbeams.
Barren branches wave goodbye,
Teardrops fall that need to cry.

In a field a gold tree stands,
Perfect and still on lost land.
Thoughts carried of joy and pain,
Hope felt as it starts to rain.

Rain fills thoughts of wrong and right.
Arms reach to dark sky of light.
River slowly flows from sky,
Truth watches bird freely fly.

Heart Core branches are shaken,
Lonely tree in a field awakens.
Sun fills thoughts of wrong and right.
Arms reach morning sky of light.

This Haven Place

A thoughtful breeze gently caresses my wandering mind.
Sunshine hope reflects on river deep with stories to find.

Freely wind dances through the leaves of tall, strong standing trees.
Pink and yellow flowers grow wild with honey searching bees.

A deer watches and rustles in the freeness of the land.
It lets me stare at its gentle beauty I understand.

So gracefully the deer skips to another sacred place.
I smile to myself- my soul, mind, body, and heart embrace.

The bird songs I hear are just for me for a little while.
Blue sky with cotton candy dreams and stories makes me smile.

Memories within me travel a road that does not end.
This Haven Place heals broken heart pieces that need to mend.

Here I am and here I sit in a garden wild and free.
Here I am and dream of hope hugged and hope to just be.

My butterfly heart with broken wings can still dare to fly.
A feather drops from the sky and I freely laugh and cry.

Hummingbird with shiny feathers stops to enjoy this place.
Sinking sun shines its light goodbye upon my smiling face.

Firefly moments will soon appear and fill the night sky.
Stars wait for souls to make another wish as day says goodbye.
